I moved to Southern California in 1990. I initially disliked it but once I had bought a home, got married and started raising a family, it became home.

Once a guy I had met said if you have been in California less than ten years you are just passing through.

That was in 1990 at a comic store.

Thirty years later I am never leaving. As you know I had a stroke and three brain surgeries in the past five years.

This cemented the fact I am never leaving, in my mind.

The pinball, once things get moving again is exceptional here. 1 hour to banning. Close enough to Northern California to try to edge my ass into things up there and meet great people.

It is fun to be near my area any day of the dang week.

It is expensive, the rent. Serious downside.

But I just can't see myself anywhere else any more.

Also, most of the last thirty I spent in OC raising a family. Now I spend more time exploring Los Angeles and its rich history.

    Yes, I'm home.

    Quoted from metallik:

But still wearing a shirt from Ohio

It's a cedar point park shirt from Ohio. Picture Taken at Knotts berry farm in California which they now own.

I thought about possessing both in my life. Cedar fair is too expensive. Instead of buying two parks I have to buy 11.

So I get the pass, smile and enjoy my life.

Yes, I've been to Ohio friend. And I wear the shirts.

    Quoted from Ericpinballfan:

Nice little earthquake in so cal last night.
4.8, house shook for about 10 seconds.
    Always fun.

Scared the crap out of Veronika. She does not like the earthdquakes since north ridge.

Me and the cat slept through it.

I grew up with tornadoes I would almost prefer those, but that's not the way it works of course.
