These yearly fires producing smoke particles which get lodged deep into your lungs potentially setting you up for long term health problems...especially unfair to children with small developing lungs...animals too

My dog knows something is very wrong...she’s acting in a very suggestive manner

Quoted from xsvtoys:The biggest downsides? First and foremost, water.

    Last water bill was $400
Energy was another $400 on top
    That’s a rough diner

3rd straight day of unhealthy air 135 AQI
    Yesterday was 189

    Shovel snow or lung cancer...hmmm

    #42 3 years ago
    Quoted from ccbiggsoo7:

$400 water bill? i payed $19 last month.

That’s why you have 32 games

    #44 3 years ago
    Quoted from Daditude:

Come hang with us in Texas

Your property taxes though....why so high?

I would have to live like a popper just to foot that bill

    Quoted from CLEllison:

This planet deserves an asteroid shoved up our asses because we no longer serve a greater purpose.

Wow, thought I was the only one

I was watching Apocolypto with my daughter the other night and she was shocked that humans were so ignorant to believe chopping off heads and ripping out still beating hearts for the gods would solve drought issues

I explained how in the tens of thousands of years humans have lived here, we have completely F’d the planet off in a mere 150 years or so...a drop in the bucket time wise

    Who’s the ignorant ones now?

    Quoted from IdahoRealtor:

I'm actually flying to ID in 2 weeks to scope out eagle, meridian, boise for potential relocation.

So much contention in my house right now with the wife threatening to go to meridian with or without me.

I’ve looked at many ID homes that were purchased just 36 months ago back on the market for double...my house ain’t doubled in 36 months

I’m not in the mood to turn some random idahoian into a real estate guru overnite

    2 weeks later
    #328 3 years ago

Yup...not worth it...air quality worst it’s ever been in history today...flat out Hazardous for anything living. If you are anywhere but here, be thankful!

    Quoted from PtownPin:

Holy shit....where do you live...thats terrible ...that being said its not the norm as theres fires brewing all over the state at the moment

    Near Folsom Granite bay...it’s disgusting...I’m depressed...seriously

So bad that I can actually smell it in the house despite running both of my central air units with the most expensive air filters I could buy at Lowe’s.

Not being able to breathe is about as low as it gets in life

    #350 3 years ago
    Quoted from merccat:

This mornings air in the Valley... joy.
All the smoke is reducing our temps by about 10 degrees, so.... yay?
    [quoted image]

    Sorry to see that.

Refuge in Reno isn’t too far away

    Quoted from metallik:

Reality, the poll was created by someone who has been sucking down smoke for a couple weeks and isn't in the best of moods.

    Very true...poll closed

    #421 3 years ago

Ugh...tried to go out today and knock out a bit of construction on my future game room but was quickly overcome by the smoke yet again...even the graphics on the weather checker thingy is grey and smoky like they’re just trying to rub it in...and I even deeply lacerated my finger to the bone the other day and couldn’t even go in cause of the smoke and other nonsense going on

And because of the smoke and my inability to do yard work, my once prestigious better homes and gardens backyard is now....a waist high weeded wasteland

    Quoted from zaphX:

Pay 10x what it’s worth everywhere else.

    Nonsense

These 2 in Frisco Tx are comparable to mine...10x would put me at 15m

If this were true I’d have enough left over to buy your soul

    Quoted from zaphX:

When you start looking at 1.5M homes in Texas, the numbers change and you're probably looking at 4x for a comparable CA home.

Not even close. Certain parts of the Bay Area and so cal yes...but for the rest of the state, those 2 homes would be worth the same here or less

    #439 3 years ago
    Quoted from zaphX:

Fair enough. The Bay Area is my CA frame of reference which is for sure batshit crazy.
I wish it wasn't so, I loved living there despite the lower standard of (house) living.

Well move on back then, I’ll show you around...grab some tacos and hit up some massage joints

    #489 3 years ago
    Quoted from PtownPin:

Air quality is back to normal in the Bay Area today...it was in the high teens this morning....over the weekend it was 170

I’m so happy. Been out trimming my tomatoes all morning...more on that later

Hold on. Lemme google...high school dropout here

    #493 3 years ago
    Quoted from fosaisu:

    What's that a euphemism for?

Ok, so a bad word disguised as a good word...no really, I was out trimming my tomatoes

But I had a moment with someone while trimming which gave me a thread concept

    Quoted from stumptown:

For someone who claims to be wise to propaganda you sure bit on a potent example of it if you believe "Antifa" is setting forest fires. Post your sources, we need some comedy in these dark times.

All it takes is one radicalized young man walking through the forest ohh say smoking a cigarette?

And what might he so innocently do with said cigarette?

    #530 3 years ago
    Quoted from stumptown:

Most people don't want to burn the places they live. What do you imagine the motive is here?

    Who said they’re from here?

    #533 3 years ago
    Quoted from stumptown:

Okay let's say the legendary bus full of radicals has gone camping then. What benefit for such a group or their cause is there in setting a wildfire while they're out?

I don’t know man...I’m just a simple dude who likes trucks, guns and fat chicks

    You tell me...

    #535 3 years ago
    Quoted from fosaisu:

    how about a little evidence

    I gotta hunch

    #537 3 years ago
    Quoted from stumptown:

No one wants a goddamn wildfire

Ever heard of a “fire bug”?

Some just get off watching that snap-crackle-pop

Why did Ted Bundy make a hell of a mess out of beautiful young women? Because in his mind...why not?

    #596 3 years ago
    Quoted from Dent00:

Makes me think that I might be able get a nice, new truck around 2035 from out of California to my area at a great price,

Exact opposite actually. Grandfathered in petrol vehicles will sell for a premium here because they are here

If this ban is still on the books come 2035, you can expect a tremendous surge in sales here (especially trucks) right before it goes into effect.

Also, millions of cars will be imported from other states by consumers, flippers and dealers anticipating the ban

    It’s a joke

    #608 3 years ago
    Quoted from JohnnyPinball007:

I wish not only everyone that lives in CA the best always, but everyone on this planet I wish the best always.

Ahhh thanks man...I needed a hug today...moms going down the tubes with the cancer

But ya NorCal we yanked the kids out of public school so damn fast and went to home schooling when we learned about the sex education to very young children thing they’re doing now...it’s just...gross

    #638 3 years ago
    Quoted from metallik:

I would absolutely feel safer calling that pimp instead of this guy...[quoted image]

That’s a pretty powerful picture man, you can still see dude under his knee

I can request a lock if you guys really want
