It depends on what you are looking for and why. I currently have about 10 machines set up, and it isn't right because I don't have enough space to comfortably host anyone to play them. I'd love to do more so I could host big get togethers, but I need a larger space for that no matter what.
No matter what too, I wouldn't want just two or three. I play everything in my basement regularly enough.
