Quoted from venom112:

JJp caters to the collector which is what we all wanted for a long time. They are expensive but they pack their games with toys and the build quality is unmatched. They take their time to develop games with code and really show innovation with each release. They don’t throw out 5 or 6 games a year which I think really helps to focus on making sure they are putting out the best quality product and they are able to test the game before they push it onto the consumer. I just got my first JJp a few months ago (dialed in) and am extremely impressed it is one of the funnest games that I have played in the last 10 years. My thought process is if I’m going to pay for 7300 to another company that doesn’t put as much thought into their pins then I’m going to save up and wait until I can pay 2k more for a quality JJP packed with awesomeness.

This is what JJP's business strategy has been from the very beginning and they carry on with today.

Quoted from flashinstinct:

I wont disagree on price, JJP is up there but after owning alot of Sterns in the past 7+ years, I felt I needed a change. Stern just felt like they where doing the same stuff over and over again.

That's the same with me and I *WANT* Stern to earn my business back. But they just aren't cutting it for me and on several different levels.

Quoted from Eskaybee:

I find it funny, yet ironic, that this thread started off as a jab at JJP by a known Stern supporter and is ending with current stern quality issues.

Quoted from snakesnsparklers:

Another dankberg treasure

Quoted from clg:

He is a shill. Jjp gets attention from a webcast and out he comes.

I always admire and appreciate candid comments such as these to put things in perspective for those of us unaware. Especially when they validate each other along with community upvotes.

Thanks for keeping it real guys, looks like I got trolled by the OP on this one.

Flight leader, scramble the moderators. We're at Defcon 2.

Quoted from Whysnow:

If it was not obvious to people before, this thread cements JY as a stern plant or troll. Made the OP and has not returned since.

It's good that people speak up and expose all of these shills on Pinside.

Quoted from JY64:

The question is what happens if game prices keep going up $500 a yr $15,000 and $12,00 a game does not seem like a sustainable business model 5 yr's from now

The question is, what happens when your employer, Gary Stern, finds out you're surreptitiously posting trash on Pinside?

Note to moderators: Shouldn't industry people be required to identify themselves or post a disclaimer.

I don't know about JJP, but KFC is certainly looking to price itself out of business.
Over 8 bucks for a 3 piece meal. Sheesh....

If I'm mistaken and proven wrong, I will gladly apologize.

Quoted from RTS:

This is hardly a magnanimous gesture.
It's lame to make an accusation that you admittedly don't know to be true.
And equally lame to put the burden of proof on the person you are accusing with the caveat that you will gladly apologize.

I have to agree and I'm embarrassed that I allowed myself to get caught up in all of this. I retract my comments, sincerely apologize to all and I will humbly back out of this conversation.

Call it what you want but 2500 of a pinball machine isn’t “limited”
Neither is 1000 or 500 for that matter
Calling my Afmrle limited is ridiculous, along with my Wozecle

This guy gets it.

Quoted from Rdoyle1978:

Jack hasn’t owned JJP for several years now. There are new owners, but I don’t think the sale prompted them to move to Chicago. Half the team was already there, so that was more of a logistical decision. Jack still lives in New Jersey AFAIK

I though Jack was still a minority owner after the sale. No?
