A one wire splice runs the risk of awarding a replay for every extra ball and vice-versa. I'd want to verify on the schematic, but you could probably disconnect the knocker from the replay circuit and wire it into the extra ball circuit.

If your game's Extra Ball relay has its own hold switch, that wire will lock the knocker on which will burn it out. Add a relay to isolate the circuits.
