Hi, I know you have most likely been in my position at some point, or you will be some day. I love pinball, it makes me feel good playing it and working on them. When I buy a pin, it's not always in the greatest condition, may not even work. I buy it with the intention to 1) get it working 2) get it pretty 3) sell it for some kind of return to get my next project. The problem is that I get in the middle of my second objective and I get attached. Well, if you have one these can be real trouble, not the pins. The wife. When you bring in a new "project" you bend truths and rules you yourself may have set when this whole thing started. In hope that you will complete a project completely and do what you must, sell her and maybe get the next one.
The struggles I have are :
Do you invest money and dress up your ugly ho'd out (Not HOU) routed pin to make her Julia Roberts? Or do you sell her as is.
Knowing that you have determined that it is a good machine, in demand and know the difference between an player, a beast and a HOU straight outta the box. Keep in mind I'm looking to fix em up. These are NOT the machines I am selling. feeling out what my peers think.
So the scenario is, there are 3 machines below. Would you Ho them out or sell'em working, clean, new rubber with maybe LEDs or small mods.
Gottlieb Hulk worn playfield
Addams Family routed , chewed holes. Awesome player.
Pin2k all three scenarios. Virtual pin, NuCore and restored.
I got get some ready for the show season. I will be selling, just not looking to eat a ton of resources picking the wrong pig.
And knowing how shows can be, pricing.
