Yes doing great thanks for asking

I am posting this because I have been getting lots of emails and phone calls asking me.

It seems to stem from a lack of updates to my gallery and or activity here like no restore threads.

The reason for that is that I am a one man show and the last months have had to have been split doing enough as a service provider to maintain workflow while also tackling some much needed renovations to a couple of my workspaces.
Mostly my garage and my paint shop. Those coupled with the move at the beginning of the year of my commercial space added up to a lack of the typical output and interaction but it was needed and the only way it could be done to suit is to do it myself. These spaces all see a lot of use and wear and tear every so many years they have to be updated or reconfigured for efficiency and they need to be pleasant to be in.
It is done and I am looking forward to getting back to business as usual.
    Garage renovation HEP style.
Kind of gives new meaning to garage door pics and Medusa cabinet.

I wish my restoration area looked that clean. I love the table light to inspect and fix inserts

    #8 6 years ago

    Thanks.
Here is the assembly area no updates needed there other than the fool that works in there to get back to it.
I have been in Centaur mode for a few months with 2 more to complete so I think it influenced the schemes this time around.

    Me too.

    Stern could use one.

Very nice! One of these days I will have a nice shop! Instead of my 10 by 13 unheated and uncooled shed of a garage!!!

Strange. If you listen to the High End Pins podcast backwards. I swear you hear Chris is dead in there.

Probably like the old Paul is dead Beatles thing.

I like how his definition of the "messy area" is 100 times neater than most peoples' "neat area"

Someday,........... I hope to send you a machine....

Good to see classic pins that aren't the typical MM, MB, etc

    #17 6 years ago

Still in the house. Wife will bring us one so we can save the floor space and electricity .

Yeah. Seems like I get more and more early SS Ballys and System 11s these days. No complaints there!
I really regret not getting more and better pics of this Flash Gordon I finished just before I got sidetracked with the workspace updates.

The dirt bikes and the beer fridge are the distractions, kept at an extended arms length away.

Yes. Even the dirt bike restorations have been on hold. That is in the carpeted box.
Looks at these awesome and correct tires from down under.
Thank you Purplebat. Got a couple playfields with your name on them coming out of that fresh paint shop soon but for now it is time for the Friday afternoon beer and this is the other purpose for the carpeted box.

    #23 6 years ago

Looking forward to seeing those playfields Chris, and the pics of the finished dirt bike, if its anything like your pin restores its going to be awesome, and you know you are welcome anytime.
    Cheers Terry.

What is the Silver material you used to insulate the garage doors?

    #28 6 years ago
    Quoted from Blitzburgh99:

That is a chromed contact paper. Put it on there several years ago as you would window tint and it has held up well.
I stenciled directly on it when redoing the garage this time around and that worked well also.

Your workspace is so organized and clean, very impressive.

    Quoted from Wolfmarsh:

Thank you I have a small fortune in Lista cabinets as well as hours/days organizing them and during the process spend about half as much of my time cleaning and organizing as I do on the work itself . It is worth it I am most efficient in a clean organized room and efficiency is everything when a task like Pinball restoration already commands so many hours per job.

Thank you. It didn't work for several years (plus I had a hard time getting to it), but got it up and running about two years ago. Fun machine.

    Wire has been organized
It is basically everything you run across in the GI,lamp, solenoid, flasher and switch matrix so from here on out I can truly duplicate any color combinations and eliminate/replace all the generic ones on sub assemblies like ramps or large coil assemblies when making my own harnesses.
