    Quoted from Coindork:

Data East had a liscene to make a Die Hard arcade game in 1996, but unfortunately had sold off their pinball division to SEGA by then.

But luckily it saved us from a shitty DE game.

    #53 10 months ago

Yes. First on my watch list every Dec.

    #54 10 months ago

There are certain movies I think about watching around certain times of the year.

Die Hard is one of those movies that I think about during Christmas time, same as Home Alone.

    It's a Christmas movie

    Die Hard
    Gremlins
    Christmas Vacation

These are my go to Christmas movies.

    Quoted from KrustyBurger:

Apparently this subject is a hot debate item throughout the country. Here is the result of a national poll taken in late 2018:
(Personally, I'm on the fence on this issue - but note - I LOVE the movie regardless of its Christmas or Non-Holiday status!)[quoted image]

Just proves how brainless and zombie-like this country really is.

It is UNDENIABLY a Christmas movie.

How does that NOT get you in the holiday spirit???

    I actually like DE games.

Is Gremlins a Christmas movie? Takes place around Christmas and Gizmo was a gift, father to son.

    Quoted from dirkdiggler:

My wife and I both consider Die Hard a Christmas Movie. Last night both her brothers and cousin disagree. Thoughts?

We watch what we call 'christmas-not-christmas' movies daily throughout December each year. Below is a partial list of flicks we have catalogued that take place during xmas/new years, but are not xmas movies in the traditional sense. And yes, Die Hard and Gremlins are, and always have been, the ultimate picks for the holiday.

    Hardware
    Better Off Dead
    The Box
    Trancers
    Lethal Weapon
    Night of the Comet
    Gremlins
    Turbulence
    Die Hard 1 & 2
I Come In Peace (aka Dark Angel)
    Home Alone 1 & 2
    First Blood
    Edward Scissorhands
    Black Christmas
    Silent Night Deadly Night
    Rocky IV
    12 Monkeys
    Dead End
    Eyes Wide Shut
    Ghostbusters II
    Go
    On Her Majesty's Secret Service
    Wind Chill
    Trading Places
    End of Days
    200 Cigarettes
    New Years Evil
    Reindeer Games

Not nearly enough love for Christmas Vacation in here.

    Hans and Franz ? Seriously???

If you're looking for something fun and different, check out 1945's "Lady on a Train," starring Deanna Durbin and Ralph Bellamy. It's a highly underrated Christmas murder mystery comedy musical.

One of the best murder mystery comedy musicals out there I'm told.

    Eyes Wide Shut

I’ve convinced others to add this to their list. Really fits and Tom Cruise does a brilliant acting performance. One of his best.

James Dean’s first line in Rebel Without a Cause is “Happy Easter.” I try to watch it on Easter every year as a little tradition. Any other Easter films?

    #70 10 months ago

    Absolutely! Merry Christmas!

Certainly in the top five Christmas-themed murder mystery comedy musicals ever made.

    #72 10 months ago

Nice. Hoping for a new classic coming up

    #73 10 months ago

Good one. How is this not a Christmas movie?

Because it takes place over a long period of time.

Thanks. I had no idea Richard Stanley was behind this. I always liked this story. I even made it through The Curse!

    Hell Yes:-

Theo: [Over the CB, as the police SWAT team closes in] Alright, listen up guys. 'Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring — except for the four assholes coming in the rear in standard two-by-two cover formation.

    #79 10 months ago

Hell yes! It's my favorite Christmas movie! Top 4: #1.) Die Hard 2.) Gremlins 3.) Christmas vacation 4.) home alone

    #80 10 months ago

Well, looks like we're gonna need some more FBI guys.
    Hahaha.

It's not a Christmas movie, it's a Bruce Willis movie - says Bruce Willis. So yeah, it's a Christmas movie, and enjoyed it with my wife last night who never watched it on Christmas before. Might become a new tradition...

“Let it snow let it snow let it snow”

    Feels like Christmas to me.

Our christmases are having hot roast lunches when it’s 40c+ degrees (104f) outside though so I what do I know.
