Quoted from CrazyLevi:

So what exactly do the Italians build well, anyway?

They're using mostly industry standard mechs, they revealed who makes the PF (anything from Germany I trust), all the PCBs are redesigned. I don't care if they assembled this thing in Siberia. There's still Zaccaria games around, how's that for comparison? Go Italy! Best food, coffee, wine and climate in the world. Add pinball to the list? Go for it!

Quoted from cleanandlevel:

I heard from Melissa there's only about 30 spots available through cointaker. I'm surprised they're still for sale if it's such a limited run here in the states.

There's currently 56 spots available. Hit 231 or so pre-orders in the quantity box here: https://cointaker.com/products/httpscointakercomproductsalien-standard-edition-by-pinball-brothers and it will tell you how many are left. Oops, 55 now.

Quoted from Nepi23:

They haven't announced distributors inside the EU yet? Would be nice to know where the US$7777 translates into in euros.

https://www.pinballbrothers.com/alien/ has a list of disties.

I'd throw The Hobbit into the ring with Haunted House. Ugh.

No one owns a Stargate in this thread and it shows.

Quoted from Lethal_Inc:

I doubt anyone in the US is getting a SV in January because they (PB) would have had to ship a game already. Let’s see some pics or news of a working game please.

There won't be a single game on US soil in January. That was an incredibly optimistic estimate they've made. Let's hope for better timeline in the next update.

Sigh. 25 new posts in this thread almost made me think there was actual news.

Quoted from CrazyLevi:

No worries I’m sure everything will work out in this Italian pinball factory.

Not sure where that racist and derogatory comment is stemming from but to your defense, assembling pinball machines is not particularly hard and has been done for nearly 100 years now. Designing and manufacturing the actual parts from scratch, is a different story all together and 99% of that work was done prior, as seen in fully working Heighway games on location.

The silence in this once pretty active thread is deafening. No updates on facebook, which is the only way they seem to post updates really or I guess instagram?

They need to hire someone to do marketing.

Quoted from CrazyLevi:

Anybody else disturbed by the use of an official PB employee using the word "paddles" to describe flippers? That's straight up "mom doesn't know anything about pinball but found one in her new basement" craigslist ad posting lingo!

No, they do not. Realize that PB are not interested in taking on a top heavy US marketeer to cater your needs. In German, a pinball bat is sometimes referred to as a "flipper paddel".

Crazy that’s the video debut video of the game.

It will get into the hands of streamers sooner or later and this nonsense will be done with.

This thread blows my mind. 30+ new entries. 0 news.

I asked one of my fellow instagrammers what his thoughts were. We now know what the "issues" PB are working on. Do not expect working games folks.

Quoted from Yelobird:

Seems like an extreme assessment

Agreed, all NIB game have issues to be fair, so never expect working games ever out-of-the-box.

Quoted from delt31:

I'm hoping to see some pictures of underneath the pf.... The parts being used.

If still relevant when I get my machine, I will do a comprehensive breakdown off the game on my stream, including lifting the PF, opening the backbox etc. I've setup a handheld camera for this purpose so you'll be able to ask exactly what you want to see and you'll get the close-up.

I'm #32 with CT but at the current rate of producing games it will be Christmas before I get it and the new-game-smell has ascended.

When did you place your order?

On the day of the podcast/announcement, 12/18/20.

Quoted from drypaint:

In other news...

This is officially #1 according to different post on FB. I wonder how many other prominent CT customers are going to cut in line.

Quoted from TinyBlackDog:

4 more coming to Cointaker “any day” and the next 22 by sea.

22? Why not full containers?

#3604 2 years ago
Quoted from manadams:

Just paid in full and I'm #27 in line, if that means anything.

It does. I missed the first container by 5 games.

Quoted from legendpin:

I sent money too! I'm #16

It's been exactly 0 minutes since I checked my inbox.

Quoted from apessino:

Even more concerning is that no one seemed to have much fun.

This is a very common trait for pro players. Someone once wrote on this website, -"Have you ever seen anyone smile in a pinball tournament?".

I'll try crack a smile for you when I get my machine.

#3822 2 years ago
Quoted from brado426:

I’ll have ship details anyday now and will pass them on to everyone.

Is this a full 40' container? I have not heard squat and I don't want to bug her either. I'm in the thirties and should make it into that first one.

#3827 2 years ago
Quoted from brado426:

I've heard numbers like 22 for this first shipment, so I'm guessing if you're in the thirties, it will be in second shipment.

Poke the bear and see what happens. I just got my invoice from CT and the game is shipping June 8th.
