Man, the things people hope for on this site....

This is like finding a single drop of water and believing that there is an ocean awaiting us.
The sheer hope this community has for something on the equivalency of fumes boggles my mind.
I remember seeing Heighway post pictures and videos of games fully boxed going on trucks for ships destined to the US. Remember that, everyone?
Until I see 100+ Pinsiders raving about their newly unboxed Alien 2.0-WBE-widebody-no PF LCD-better facehugger-whatever version of the game, I ain't moving two wooden nickels.
I get it. It was a great game and immersion is awesome and sound and light shows are amazing and all that. I definitely got my fill of it, but until they are showering Pinside like Oprah does her audience with cars, I am staying emotionally detached from this.
Ok, my attention has officially been caught.
Now....let's see everyone who dropped $7700+ dollars sight unseen without having plunged one ball on this game get it in their home and rave about it and its build quality for months into 2021.
Don't get me wrong; I want to be a part of this, but I'll happily wait until Fall 2021 before I pull any triggers.
Hope it is as good as it looks! Glad to see this may actually be happening and not a pipe dream.
By far the mode I'll miss on the PF screen was ambush where the motion sensor screen came up and you heard the sound of the motion tracked aliens getting closer. That was extremely well done, and I used it to gauge what shots were where on the PF without having to look at the way at the backbox or even the upper screen. And then when the alien showed up ready to bite at proximity alert....man....
There weren't many, many times I needed the PF screen or preferred it, but dang, that mode was EXTREMELY immersive with the screen right there staring back at you. Granted, last I really played it was August 2018, so maybe this has changed with code updates.
I need to stop checking this thread. Time has slowed to a infant's crawl since I saw it I knew I was selling Scared Stiff when I move to Ohio in March. I didn't know "why?" - now I do.
Quoted from pcprogrammer:That's what I've been wondering. Why not wait until cointaker had 30 of them to sell and production is rolling along. Then announce it to the world. They were going to sell every one made regardless. What was to be gained by announcing 2 months before you can get any out the door?
You guys are kidding right? Look at the frenzy the announcement has caused. Look at how many of you are like:
"IN!! Paid in full!!! 'X' many days until I have my precious!! Holy shit, this is really real!!! Cant wait to put in a bigger monitor!! When I get my SE, I'm going to play it until the LV comes in and then I'm selling my SE to get my LV, or heck I'll just keep both along with my original HW Alien!! YOLO, FOMO, Kony 2012!!!"
Dude, they know this community is itching to literally just throw money at this theme.
Why not announce it early and guarantee more money coming in as well as be right again - this community figuratively tosses money into the wind months or even years in advance with minimal proof of anything having been created.
Again. And again. And again.
Quoted from Lethal_Inc:“Are you ready to get it on!”
"You know it!!" *punches your armor out of camaraderie *
