There is a lot of discussion on these here. Lots of fakes out there, so too good to be true pricing usually is just that. Also beware of the cheaper alternative "switching" type replacements, as they will not work in pins.
There are legit sellers on eBay... Just not from China, and not for less than about $20.
maybe the switching version was specific to game plan. The one I installed on a game plan pin did not operate properly. I wonder what the difference in the Bally design could be that would allow that to work there and not in game plan. Or maybe the one I got was bad.

He is much quieter if you use very short and FAT traces (planes work best), anice toroid type inductor and oversized low-ESR caps. But even that one needs a bit of filtering to eliminate the oscillator noise. I use these whenever oscillator noise doesn't matter (strictly digital circuits).
The oscillator on this one runs at about 250KHz. You can't hear the fundamental frequency in the sound board BUT you can hear the harmonics caused by him.
