Vive is not better than the Rift-S, actually only the Valve Index is a little bit better experience. If you want wireless, Quest with Virtual Desktop is an option but you need to have a good Wifi system with 5GHz.

For people with the Quest: I use a Club3D USB 3.1 extender cable (15 meter) with a Club3D USB to USB-C cable also 3.1 and I have no problems whatsoever. That setup costs about the same as the link cable from Oculus but instead of 4 meter you get 17 meter.

edit: 17 meter is about 55 feet
