There is a bushing in the linkage that may be worn. You can check this post for details: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/acdc-auto-plunger-is-starting-to-get-weak#post-1063314
You can also try to bend the right side of the auto plunger bracket to the left. That may be all that is needed.
