I've been pondering this one and the only explanation is it kills on route. Awesome theme, great gameplay, low maintenance.
Tron won't be remade because it's a niche nerdcore theme vs other Disney properties like iron man.

Your sample size of one isn't indicative of all pinball. Mine is the opposite. One of my top earners.

Just have to learn how to set up a game for proper ball times. Don't just open the box and turn it on. Set up is an art to maximize profit. Hint: there's average ball time in the audits

Almost all the games we put out destroyed the money Iron Man made weekly after the first month. The only one I can think of offhand that did worse was Munster Pro.
Setup wasn't the issue for the players we have.
Level the game noob.
