You underestimate the NIBNEWBS.

Quoted from pascal-pinball:

I heard a long time ago that Lyman Sheats is working on a Iron Man code update.

Apparently it’s just minor polish.

This game will cost nothing for Stern to make. Cheap and easy production line filler with no extra work for management- probably at the end of the last VE license renewal. Solid reputation, will sell just enough to dealers until the next title.

Quoted from porkcarrot:

Honestly all these complaints about not vaulting Tron or LoTR are also ridiculous. You have no idea what it would cost to make vault editions of them. The cost for the license, the cost for the upgrade from whitestar, the cost to remake the parts, the cost to redo the art (as some have suggested), other costs we probably aren't even thinking about.

Tron is SAM.

Cant see them doing Whitestar games though.

Quoted from Zitt:

Maybe... just maybe... instead of fin the customers with craptastic quality, under coded games, and pooling clear coat... they should make another Iorn Man vault.
Stern has some screws lose in the belfry. Dat's fo sho.
Maybe just maybe they should "go back to basics" and offer a vault with Screen printed graphics and old school clear coat on high quality dense plywood. Then maybe; just maybe, their customer base will actually buy a title instead of waiting from second hand markets with "tested" clearcoat and non-chipped graphics.
But obviously; i'm a clueless uneducated minority to stern's high quality distributors.

BUY, BUY, BUY!

Quoted from PinMonk:

He's already talked about it in the past, it's just not known how extensive the update will be when/if it's released.

Is code a major complaint with IM? Not that I’ve ever heard. I doubt it’s an extensive update. It’ll just be polish.

Quoted from John_I:

Depending of price and features of the new VE, I might just pull the trigger.

MSRP $5900. Everything exactly same as previous VE. Not sure if it has the foil cabinets though.
