I just acquired an IMVE and love the game (brutal). Had less than 700 plays but the inserts, which looks cosmetically perfect, are not perfectly smooth due to the printing under the factory clear coat. You can rub your finger across an insert and almost "read" the words based on the ability to feel each letter. Wondering if anyone else sees/feels this on a VE? There is NO damage and no wear and as far as I can tell, no impact to play. Anyway, as fast as this game is, I decided to make certain it stayed that way and added a PF protector from Germany. IM is an easy shopout game so below are the images of the install (each photo is numbered in YELLOW, use that order as you install, starting with #1).
You will need to unplug 2 switches (ramps and super easy to do)
You will need to unscrew one flasher on right ramp (just one of the screws - and again, easy)
I also adjusted the Iron Monger about 2mm higher after install to level with new insert
You can then install this without removing the ramps, or the slings and spots - took about 90 minutes total
