So making a diy topper and using 3 8 smd flasher LEDs 13v in it.

Can I tap off one of the flashers on playfield to trigger.

Should I wire in series or parallel or is this a dumb idea.

Thx

Shopping out my pin and doing sections at a time and taking lots of pics but stumped on this.

Have a short spacer leftover from putting slings and inlane plastics back on.

Have the two ramps hardware partially removed also.

Any help. Thx

Sorry about so many questions.

Disconnecting all flashers and switches so I can take off ramps and discovered this loose wire on the iron monger mech.

I'm assuming this connects to non banded side of diode like the other colored white wires but just wanting confirmation.

Thx

Quoted from RCA1:

Looks like one of the 6 spacers that go under the return frames. 3 on each side.

Is your game a Vault Ed.? Mine is an original run and has no yellow/white wire in that area.

Hey thx for reply.
Yeah I used the other 6 short spacers on the return lanes.

Weird.

Yeah this white wire looks like it goes on this switch.

This is an original iron man from 2010.

Thx

So I'm installing the rev B shaker from pinball life.
The long connection to the cable from backbox .

So instructions say look for graybrown wire .
The connector that I found to connect to has a yellow wire.

Is that kosher?
Thx

#4898 1 year ago
Quoted from Lermods:

No, it is a 2 pin connector with just a brown wire.

So here is the other connector
It's already connected to another wire.

The other is the shaker connection to yellow wire I made.

So this is 2010 IM .

Do I unplug other connection and plug into that connector?

It's actually a purple wire.

Confused here.

Am I crazy but should the whiplash targets not register when monger is up. They are only registering when he's down.

I reconnected a loose wire on an iron monger switch.

Hope I didn't f it up.

Quoted from rwmech5:

Nope that's the way mine plays, War Machine is available but not Whiplash.

Thx for info!

I've hooked up a jbl sub to bottom cabinet sub and sound is good.
Any need to replace backbox speakers and if so anyone got some good recommendations.

Thx

Quoted from dinot:

This is a subjective question. You will have people say no and then you will have people like me, who say, not only yes, but add an external amp and power those replacement speakers. I can't recall which speakers I have. I can check later on. I have an original IM so I could only fit 4" speakers (Not sure if the vaults can go bigger)

Yeah I've got an original.

I put an external amp into my meteor and it really helped.

For sure let me know. Thx

Quoted from dinot:

Any decent 4" speaker will be an upgrade. I have Soundstream Picasso's in there now (I don't know that they are made anymore as I added them over 10 years ago). I think I have used Alpine in previous SAM games. The only "issue" I encountered was with speakers that had a tweeter that protruded further than the woofer. With those, I had to use spacers. Right now, I like Focal and JLAudio speakers and so you've made me consider upgrading mine. Hmmm...the JL Audio C2-400X looks compelling.
You can grab this amp right now from Amazon for $59. There is a $20 coupon to clip if you get it.

I am guessing that you are using a speaker level to line level convertor.

Ordered the convertor, new 4 inch speakers, amp and associated cords.

Finished modding and cleaning and upgrading this routed iron man.

It looks awesome and plays just as good.

Started having some of my patients at my job start to play it.

I'm a PTA at a special needs day program and provide physical therapy to my patients.

The owner is a good friend and let's me keep a pin in physical therapy dept and pays me 20 dollars a month lease..I'd do it for free!!

Here's a pic of one of my guys.
