Quoted from HoakyPoaky:

So many people enjoy this pin, one of their best IMO.
The cult status of this pin has only grown among pinheads since the 2010 & 2014 releases. Seems like they only ran acouple hundred VE's. Another run sure would be nice for those of us who were late to the party.
Wishful thinking I suppose.

so strange that in the USA this pin is more than loved, but not really so much in Europe... !?

because i may buy a 2020 run (...)
for those having one, did you get probs with the playfield/clearcoat quality ?
i also remember that few items from the 2014 run were with ghosting on the M O N G E R inserts... all OK there ?

tanx

#4205 3 years ago
Quoted from luckycreature:

As owners of this game, what do you think of this one? Is it worth the 4k with the magnet playfield wear?
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/407536133583965/

well, not that bad for a junk yard...

Quoted from pinballjj:

Those flipper buttons look really good,a perfect touch on a stellar IM

i had some similar (in silver) on my TF, but they didnt last long, is was simply "painted" (and not plastic colored in the mass)... :/

Dang! I will email them back THANKS!
** Update My distributor point out my mistake in the dates and Stern is going to mail a replacement ramp. I am working on 2020 taxes and have 2020 on my brain. Now I feel like a jackass lol

no matter, the positive point is that you'll get the ramp

hi guys

SW just gone, i'm feeling that my next pin will be IM... long time on my wishlist, never conclude, may be this is the right time

talking about the VE, does owners of the last 2019 run are thinking that "big" magnets are a prob ?
i know already that most didnt like the MARK3 blue insert

#4507 2 years ago
Quoted from pinballjj:

I forget but does the mark 3 blue insert have some significance in the gameplay?

yes, Lyman added something, i think its extra ball available at the left ramp !?
need to read the update list...

#4513 2 years ago

i've gone to check a IM VE (last run) i had interest in, but than i noticed main cab decals were bulling (the 3 sides !) as it happends on lots of KISS...

never seen that before on IM, and seems nobody reported this until now !?

#4517 2 years ago
Quoted from koops:

You could try without any heat first and see if that helps.

... but than i didnt bought the pin, for this, and also the right ramp entry being (a little) broken

meanwhile a friend of mine should buy it anyway, will see all this than

#4520 2 years ago
Quoted from insight75:

I have the same issue on mine. Mine is later run. I tried a little heat and smooth it with a credit card and it only helped a little. Stern sent me a replacement front cab decal. Still waiting on the side cab decals. I'm likely going to replace my armor with the side rail that covers the buttons....this will solve the issue on the sides. The front issue is around the coin door.

the one i've seen had this (as exposed above) mainly where screws did push/turn & enter the wood, but also around the flippers buttons & under the metal rails

#4526 2 years ago

a new friend is in the garage...
but than will not last long as it not "mine", but just friendly dropped for a moment (who knows what this last word could means !? lol)

12 news posts in few houres !!!???
was really thinking that a new code was just dropped...

#4548 2 years ago
Quoted from newpinbin:

Looks like you have the VE made in 2020. I heard they made around 50 of these to send to Europe. I think the other 50 made in 2020 ended up in the USA. Has anyone else heard this?

yep, that's the last run
and you may be right about the numbers, i think this has been already talked here

#4551 2 years ago
Quoted from glpinball:

I have one from the 2020 run. Great for a quick game of pinball.

Quoted from newpinbin:

Glad I got mine from the 2020 run. IM has to be one of the most enjoyable machines I have ever played.

yes, its pure adrenaline !

fast & punitive, even if you dont miss the shot (as for example, my war machine kickback often send the ball SDTM and not on the right flipper... need a short ball save there... Mr Lyman please)

#4555 2 years ago
Quoted from evileye:

Agreed, mine has never went SDTM either. Make sure the game is level, and see if you can adjust the kickback power setting.

no, its a SAM pinball... only settings are/should be for all coils : soft medium high
and game is level (left-right), may be slope is too much (flat in front, at the middle rear), this logically could indeed send the ball more in the middle than on the right

Quoted from PBFan:

I have owned IM since it first came out and my war machine has NEVER fired SDTM. I think you should be able to adjust it so that it doesn’t do that.

yep, but pin is from a friend, i will not fold rails myself...

#4558 2 years ago
Quoted from Sixmillion:

I understand that the Ironman fast scoring mode can be built up when you are in the Ironman mode by hitting the Ironman targets for an additional 1k per hit for a maximum of 50k per hit. At the start of the mode it defaults to 10k per hit. How is this possible if this mode is timer based?
That would mean you would have to hit the Ironman targets 40 times over to reach the 50k per hit. And then once you build it up to the maximum 50k, you try to get it to the spinners or pops to cash in some big points. I am not sure if the best player in the world could do this, just spelling the Ironman targets twice for double scoring is a difficult chore, and that only takes 14 hits to the Ironman targets. What am I missing here?

with IRON MAN, even the best player in the world became casual !!!
but than, try to start the fast scoring before 1 (or more) multiball(s)
and of course, the MYSTERY which reset/add more time

#4564 2 years ago
Quoted from newpinbin:

Use it at the arcade.

but than pay attention at the owner... (lol)

#4586 2 years ago
Quoted from Sixmillion:

For a machine that is heavy on spinners, does Ironman have a “super spinner” mode?

no

#4588 2 years ago
Quoted from monkeyboypaul:

all spinners are Super, but sadly it doesn't have a specific mode with that title.

indeed...

dont wanna say it, but than yes, if you can use them in fast scoring or to grow iron monger value, that's very fun to shoot them

#4624 2 years ago
Quoted from Jason_Jehosaphat:

to start the mythical Do-or-Die Multiball at the center spinner.

as said above already, it was blinking slowly (for sure), than it was not the DODM, simply impossible while scoring 15M
played 1 hour on mine yesterday, with mainly "poor/average" games, while also got 2 nice with 134M and than 132M, and i was not even close to the final wizard (could have been but not)

BTW, Jericho is NOT a multiball

#4687 2 years ago
Quoted from newpinbin:

Will there be a code update since new machines are being produced?

considering that last code touches on this pin were made by Lyman
on his free time home
now he's gone from STERN
well...

#4745 2 years ago
Quoted from TwilightZone:

Some other notable differences with VE:
- Clearcoat on playfield is much better
- I believe it came with LEDs
- art on display panel
- difference head -- metal vs wood I think.
In terms of physical, if that is what you are asking, they are essentially the same. Head is a bit different.

and than, if its the 2nd VE run, the magnets are the big ones, and the middle reactor insert is blue...

Quoted from glpinball:

Hold flipper, now try and hit one of the two inlanes on top. It's pretty tough actually.

starting at 1M points

Quoted from bobmorlock:

I am currently being proposed an Iron Man Vault. I have never had a SAM before, is it possible to know the lifetime number of games played, or is it reset on an update ?

i've just bought a X-Men Magneto with 36 games on it !

heu... wait... at 99%, you know this cant be true, right ?
than as said above, only your eyes will judge the state (which was pristine for my Magneto lol)

#4794 1 year ago
Quoted from bobmorlock:

I've been wanting to play that game at home for some time.

bonne idée ! flip sympa, très simple, mais de la pure adrénaline et en instantané

11 months later
#4895 1 year ago
Quoted from newpinbin:

How many of the 2nd Vault editions were made?

for what i remember it was 200
as the 200 for the 1st run
