Quoted from Meegis:Marcos has the head decals.
Otherwise, maybe reach out to a Stern distributor and see if they can get them
I’ve seen those at Marco too, and figured next route would be contact Stern
Quoted from corvair61:Just heard they are doing another IM VE run in March.
Really?
Quoted from pcprogrammer:So I'm assuming the Re-Vault will have everything the Vault did? That foil cabinet art?
Seems like it, would love to hear if it is different in any way though.
Coin rejects installed today, Jason of Filament printing is great and this is a quick an easy mod to do, I’m going to try some red Leds tomorrow on them, he also has the Arc Reactor reject button in blue

Quoted from sulli10:Any one know where I can purchase the Hooked on pinball bump caps? His web site says sold out.
Price is ridiculous but - https://www.pinballdecals.com/PartsByGamePages/IronMan_Page.html#
Quoted from monkeyboypaul:https://sternpinball.com/?post_type=game_code&s=iron+man
Just download the "Vault edition" version from Stern - this seems to be valid for the Vault and the current re-Vault, but NOT the original.
I think he want the Robert Winter Code specifically
Quoted from onemoresean:http://robertwinter.com/pinball/pinside/im/IM21850V_RWdub.BIN
This is for the vault edition
Anyone try it with ColorDMD
Quoted from Thenewguy1337:[quoted image][quoted image]
How about a pic of the insert with the machine off and just overhead lighting?
Quoted from Crash:Does anyone have a spare orange LED DMD they have after installing a ColorDMD?
I do, a red one brand new
Quoted from Reaper802:Mine is wrinkle free. Knock on wood...
Mine is also, though I just opened the box a few months ago
Quoted from Reaper802:Mine is an OG VE. Still going strong.
Mine is an original 2014 VE too.
Quoted from evileye:Ahhh so Pingraffix made two versions then. I didn’t know that. I like yours a lot, but have never seen them for sale before. Are they an older design that they no longer make I wonder? Can you see the yellow when installed?
https://www.pingraffix.com/by-brand?Search%20by%20Game=Ironman
Quoted from Meegis:I promised I wouldn't forget this post...
Happy Saturday!
Yes, you can see the yellow. [quoted image]
What color powder coating is that?
Quoted from J85M:For all those that have LED their Ironman what brands did you use? Comet seem to be the best from reviews.
What colour for GI did you go with cool white or sunlight white?
I changed my IMVE from the clear top factory GI cool white to Comet twin SMD frosted cool white
Quoted from J85M:Is there much of a difference Rob between the clear and frosted lens? Stern seem to use 2SMD clear on their recent games from as long as I can remember ST/TWD on wards and I’m pretty happy with that look, trying to give my older games a modern lighting look. Curious though how the frosted are compared to clear.
I can’t stand being blinded by the clear lens LEDs that are in your field of sight when playing. So annoying
Quoted from J85M:I spotted that straight away, try it!
Btw where did you get that instruction card Rob? Those look ace!
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/pinballcardscom-custom-instruction-cards/page/2#post-1629973
Quoted from camcamaro1991:where did you get your armor powder coated? or where did you purchase it from?
https://pinside.com/pinball/community/pinsiders/robertstone0407
Quoted from J85M:Finally installed my LED monger, whiplash and war machine, while I had monger out I instead the sector 16 decal, really adds to the playfield and looks great when the little window starts flashing and lights up.
[quoted image][quoted image]
Now remove one of those flashers under whiplash so you can actually see his whips when they light up.
Lighted it up - love the purple flasher behind the Monger now, and colored flashers for whiplash-green and war machine-cyan. Now I can see whiplashe’s lighted whips real easily against the green flasher

Couple 6SMD lighting pads from Comet https://www.cometpinball.com/products/lighting-pads, and some homemade pieces of L shaped aluminum with 3M double sided heavy duty tape to hold the SMD pad and to hold to backboard, and some alligator clips right to the GI bulb exposed wires on back of backboard.

He just didn’t strip the underside of the lockdown bar. His words. We will see, he’s very popular here on Pinside, but I’m trying a new guy on my SMVE
Quoted from MWhit:Sorry, I was thinking that you may add the the game (under the glass"
I am but I’m not glueing them to the playfield like I thought you asked. I’ll find some plastics to put em on.
I had powder coated bolts/screws on the trim. Decided to get brass plated ones from https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/pinballplatingcom-chrome-brass-black-nickel-powder-coating
Have the coindoor and pivot hinge bolts left to do

Quoted from DK:This looks HUO to you guys, right???
[quoted image][quoted image]
Surprisingly it could be, now where in the home or outside the home it was being used is the question. My guess HUO in the indoor pool room.
Quoted from DK:[quoted image][quoted image]
Yeah maybe I was wrong on the HUO angle
Guess it goes to show ya how in some circumstances they aren’t gonna last forever
Quoted from pinballjj:nice touch! gold nuts , washers , screws and other hardware where available might be really cool.
Don’t get me thinking
Quoted from pinballjj:too late , the seed has been planted!
I’ve got one of these coming in the mail
FA8D5F35-4B11-43B8-8F81-78FEF930F5EE (resized).jpegAdded brass key lock, ordered a 7/8” lock, Amazon sent 9/16” but it worked fine with the flat bar catch piece as opposed to the 7/8” lock’s bended catch.

Quoted from J85M:What colour is your armour powder coated? Looks stunning!!
Don’t know what it was called, I think it’s a custom powder blend
Have some powder coated bolts/screws from my IM trim for sale

It’s not the interactive one but who really is watching the backbox anyway, it does fade to different colors around the perimeter if you want it to

Quoted from DK:Mach 1, completed
[quoted image]
Doing it while playfield is still in the machine, that must be fun
Quoted from koops:My back hurts just imagining that!
Well at least he can drop everything in the cabinet right
Quoted from J85M:Is the underside of a vault exactly the same as an OG or do the vaults use light boards under the inserts?
Same
Quoted from MWhit:How did you repair your old ramps? Superglue? Mine was about 62 days old when the ramp broke. Stern is not going to warranty the ramp. I wonder what the best way to keep a new ramp from breaking at the same point is and how much of a nightmare it is going to be to remove the ramp and install a new one. These plastic ramps seem like a PITA.
Who was your distributor? Ramp should last more than 62 days
So what shade of red shooter plate do you think is better? Lighter or darker red? These are great from pinsider MR_TANTRUM

Blame it on the kids,
Quoted from evileye:Thank you for sharing this. The silver lock always bothered me with everything around it being gold/brass. I couldn’t Powdercoat it so I didn’t think I had any other option.
This new lock completes the game. A little detail that no one will notice but me, but my OCD is finally happy.
Below is the before and after…[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Glad someone else shares my attention to details! The silver lock always bugged me after I spent a pretty penny to have all the screws and bolts brass plated.
Quoted from Pinballer73:I'm interested. Is a complete disassembly of the bumpers required to install?
No, just the caps come off, but getting to the one under the ramp requires one to lift up the right ramp in order to get to the pop bumper cap
Quoted from J85M:Yeah what colour is your powder? Stunning!
Was told it was a custom mix
Quoted from Micky:That looks good! What sort of paint did you use?
Not a paint, it’s was already made with a Vacuum Metalized Gold finish on it. Bought it from another Pinsider, don’t know where they got it from.
Just installed Arcadeupkeep’s under cab LED kit, pleasantly surprised how well it works with the game.

Quoted from Pinstein:A new IM translite available. PM if interested.
[quoted image]
Not feeling it.
Quoted from Pinstein:Yawn, IMO.
The phrase less is more comes to mind. Now take it whatever way you’d like, you do good work (I have your SM translite), but having just the essential things is sometimes better than having way too many superfluous things. It allows you to focus on what matters.
Quoted from J85M:So I have owned an Ironman since release and as cool as the whiplash EL wire mods are they are not that bright and easily get filtered out by the flashers especially once you LED your game.
Tried loads of different EL wire types and non of them are that bright, but I found some cool stuff recently, it runs on 3-5v, doesn’t require an inverter so no annoying hum and best of all it’s super bright!
First picture below is taken with all my living room lights on overhead.
[quoted image]
And my 2nd version/design of the new whips I have made for my whiplash, my first version had thicker black straps, went half as thick on this version and it looks a lot better imo, just wanted to share with fellow owners.
[quoted image]
Yes, the one I got from Hooked isn’t that bright (ended up taking out one of the two flashers to help). Also part of One whip stopped working. Nice job, details on where you got em or sell some, they look GREAT!
