Quoted from genex:have you got a ship time ETA yet?
Not yet, with the first testing going on Friday I would think a couple weeks. Maybe sooner, who knows what order they get shipped.
Love that candy armor Grinder. I need to send my old Tron armor out and get it done like that. Very nice!
Quoted from Grinder901:Thanks John! You hooked me up with all the vinyl protectors. I should be set for a while. When you get your armor done, post some pics.
I'm surprised more people didn't inquire about those. Thought it was a good idea to protect the area around the magnet.
Quoted from Grinder901:Guess what this guy is putting on this weekend? The Pingraffix guys and others who saw these first hand were right on the money. These look amazing in person. Wow! Thank you!!

The speaker box decal looks great. I am on the fence with the side decals as they just look like the Tron ones in a different color. They look good, but I was hoping for something similar to the back box decal.
I see you kept your original translite. If anyone wants one of the alternate ones I have one I am not using.
I always wanted an original IM and almost pulled the trigger on a sweet HUO machine last winter. When it was announced they were running it again, I paid for one that day. There is something about having a brand new toy from day one, probably an OCD thing with me. Couldn't be happier with IMVE. Removed all of the original bulbs and installed white frosted, blue, and red for the GI. "It's a beauty Clark"
Quoted from metahugh:Mine came with Mylar rings around both magnets.
I stand corrected, it is on there, never realized it was on there.
Quoted from pinballcorpse:Tron man
lol, yes I guess in that picture it does look like that.
Tried to get a color close to the arc reactor in his chest. Have more to install on the side rails.
I got them from here,http://www.pinballmetal.com/products/4957982-2/. Had them powder coated with this. http://www.prismaticpowders.com/colors/PMB-6905/ILLUSION-CHERRY/ Had the gold sparkle for a top coat. Also did the legs, the premium support brackets, and better style lock down bar.
Quoted from Grinder901:Pictures when it's all done!! John, I have had a lot of people PMing me about your colored vinyl magnet protectors. Hope they have reached out to you as well
I will get pictures when it is done. Thanks for the referrals, been getting a few people wanting the protectors.
Quoted from ATLpb:There's never enough lights or metal or powder coating!
I don't understand how people put that much time effort money into a game and sell it. I almost did a few mos ago during a stressful lapse of reason. Came to my senses bigtime. Congrats on the find, your gain!
Powder coating and lights all in one.IMG_0167_(resized).JPGIMG_0171_(resized).JPGIMG_0168_(resized).JPG
I like the new right side sling plastic, the left one isn't grabbing my attention. Thought maybe the right one could be copied to the left side, but in a different color. Blue on left, red on right. The Iron Man face doesn't seem to let much light through. But that is just my opinion, usually I am the odd ball.
I have these on my game, I sanded down the clear even more than what was done to try and diffuse the light. http://www.hookedonpinball.com/store/p33/Iron_Man_Mod_-_Pop_Bumper_Cap_Kit.html
Quoted from Razorbak86:Courtesy of Matt Riesterer at Back Alley Creations.
Thanks, Matt. You're too good to me, dude!
That looks familiar.
Quoted from Goalie:Where'd you get that? Looks awesome
From here. http://www.pinballmetal.com/
I had all the metal powder coated and installed the lighting behind.
Quoted from Razorbak86:I can't find any colored Mylar rings for the Iron Man magnets... just the clear ones from Marco...
http://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/803-5000-MG
Alternatively, you can install Cliffy's carbon fiber rings.
I was selling those colored rings. Can make them any solid color.
Quoted from CrazyLevi:Correct, mine was set that way and on factory.
I think the biggest issue was it was a little unlevel to the left which was causing a drain anytime it got anywhere near there. I fixed it and my scores are up a bit and I can make saves out of the left outlane.
I checked mine last night, they are one hole away from the slings. This is how it came from Stern. It is a VE that I bought NIB. Odd they seem to be all over the place with the placement of them.
Quoted from Mando:Any of you know where I could buy a gold/brass shooter housing ? Or should I just poweder it red too ?
Quoted from Goalie:Does anyone know the part number or specs of the bolts used to lock down the backbox to the lower cabinet. Not the hinge ones but the ones in the back to lock it down. The movers lost the box with the parts to all my machines.
I believe they are just standard 3/8 bolts, not positive on the length.
Quoted from Grinder901:Is it crazy to think they could both work together?
I think the pinduino ramp mod with these GI lights would look great.
Quoted from Pimp77:Is that a VE? That is placed a hole lower than stock on the OG.
The VE units were placed a hole lower for some reason.
Quoted from Vino:Ordered a clear plastic protector set from Laserrific and they sent me the red/blue version by mistake.
Anyone have this one installed and how does it look?
Maybe I'll keep them and run with it.

Got the first couple sets that Joe made. - https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/iron-man-owners-club/page/25#post-2576636
If anyone is looking for this topper, I have one. Won't fit in my basement.

Quoted from Da_Topper:How tall is it?
I believe it is just over 9" tall. I can get measurements tonight.
Quoted from Astropin:I have an IM and had a GOT...but what's an IMOG and GOTG?
Got is fast and fun but IM won out in the end.
GOTG is Guardians of the Galaxy, not sure what IMOG is.
I have this on my game, pretty cool interaction. Waiting on the RGB Gi kit soon.

Quoted from DaveH:I always go LCD. The LED ones bug my eyes. They always look out of focus to me.
I'm with you there, seems to be split down the middle for a lot of people, some really like the LED. I traded the LED I bought for an LCD. Both of us are happy.
Anyone have a copy of the manual that has the light and switch matrix in it? Even the one Stern sent me a link to doesn't have them.
Quoted from HIPPY:Try internet pinball database. They usually got the manuals.
Seems all of the pdf versions I have found don't have any of the matrix charts.
Quoted from teddyb73:Does anyone have any Iron Man free play cards they wouldn't mind sharing?

Quoted from Grinder901:Selling off an Iron Man lot of mods most importantly are the hard to find red and gold arc reactors by Hooked. Decals, extra figures (both variants of Whiplash), covers, magnet mylar, led molex assembly that can be tied into Whiplashes targets if I remember and a few more odds and ends. Asking $215 shipped for it all. Message me.

Nice magnet protectors.
Quoted from Sebastian88:Does anybody know where you can get the magnet decals? Can’t find them/ ?
What magnet decals are you referring to? The protectors?
Quoted from Sebastian88:Covers the whiplash magnet. Like a donut/ center of decal is cut out
I made a bunch of those awhile back for people. Can cut them out in any color.

Quoted from maffewl:Another +1 for robertwinter!
Is this the code available above for download?
Quoted from Meegis:Tried new code.
This happened while having a two year old on a chair blocking my view and trying to block my view[quoted image]
I've only played 3 games on thew new code so far, two of the three have been my best games to date.
Quoted from maffewl:How many of y'all have replaced the playfield pegs with slide rails?[quoted image]
Quoted from teddyb73:My friend just got a 2020 Vault and Stern did not put the decals on the magnets like they are on my 2014 Vault. Also they made one of the Mark inserts blue on the playfield which looks bad, since the rest are still white.
My friend is not to happy with it, and put a complaint in with the distributor. Since there is no mention of the changes from Stern. They just reused the sale flyer from 2014.
It looks like Stern put the large magnets on the new vaults, which shouldn't have the wear issues that the small magnets have. So there shouldn't be a need for any protection.
Quoted from Trekkie1978:I still put mylar around them.
I would to, but I over protect the crap out of my games.
Quoted from newpinbin:Anyone have the wiring schematics diagram for the flashers they could post on here?
Don't have the schematic, only the list of what color wire should go to each coil/flasher.
Coil List (resized).jpgQuoted from Letsgofishing40:Still not able to find magnet decals and monger decal. If anyone has any suggestions or knows where I can find them I really appreciate it!
Iron Man pinball for life!
What magnet decals are you looking for?
Quoted from newpinbin:I would like to see the pics.
Here is the link for the pop caps - https://www.hookedonpinball.com/store/p33/Iron-Man-Pop-Bumper-Cap-Kit-Pinball-Mod.html
Quoted from Domino365:Hi there, I'm new to the club! Actually Iron Man is my first ever pin! Super excited...
I was hoping that someone would be able to confirm this is the proper part for the magnet replacement in front of Monger and Whiplash
https://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/530-5320-00
Thanks!
That is the correct core as long as it isn't the most recent vault edition, those had the very large magnet cores.
You can also get it here - https://www.pinballlife.com/magnet-core-plug.html
Quoted from Sluggo39:Anyone have their flippers just randomly stop working and kill your ball then start working right away with the next ball
Check your ball trough switches. The game thought all the balls drained, even though it didn't.
Quoted from lowbeau67:Just got a decent condition iron man.
Need some advice.
Do I need to buy and install new magnet cores or just mylar these bad boys and play.
Gonna shop this out good with a deep cleaning.
Thx.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
They can be removed from the top and cut down back to flush on a lathe or other means. Pretty simple to do.
Quoted from lowbeau67:So what is the purpose of this cutout on the left ramp ball return?
Thx.[quoted image]
In case the ball isn't traveling fast enough, it won't get stuck there, will just roll out the cut out.
Quoted from lowbeau67:Sorry about so many questions.
Disconnecting all flashers and switches so I can take off ramps and discovered this loose wire on the iron monger mech.
I'm assuming this connects to non banded side of diode like the other colored white wires but just wanting confirmation.
Thx
[quoted image]
White Yellow is for the Iron Monger Opto - see attached switch matrix. It is the return wire.
