IM is one of the best Stern's made, period. It just goes to show that you don't need all the toys and gimmicks to have a solid, fast, kick-ass addictive game.

If you like competitive pinball that demands absolute attention and skill, IM rules all others. Keeper in my collection over any top 20 pin on the list.

Quoted from scooter:

acdc is very fast

It's just not being fast that makes a good pin in and of itself.. It's the entire package- gameplay, sounds, ruleset, and the ability for it all to come together for a positive, yet not frustrating, experience. IM delivers. AC/DC is fun, but incomplete.

Things that can frustrate- Straight down the middle drains (IE TNT shots, bell shots) inability to have some control over gameplay.

Just because games were or were not being played does not mean they are good/bad.. when a title has been around for almost 20 years, people are naturally drawn to titles they haven't played. I've been playing pinball since the 90's, and have owned the older titles and put thousands of plays on them. The newer Sterns? Not so much. I want to play the new stuff and get a feel for it. New games feel good to play, after all they are FRESH!! But not necessarily better.

Hell, I was playing The Rolling Stones while I was there, mainly because I hadn't seen/played one yet. And I essentially played every new title I hadn't played as well as older ones that aren't as popular.
