#4 11 years ago

Again a fine masterpiece by Chris.

#5 11 years ago

Black Nickel looks awesome on just about everything and IM is no exception! I wish I would have done more Black Nickel...

#6 11 years ago

Back n Black ,,, lOOks gOOd !! May I ask what's the Price Tag on it ?

#7 11 years ago

Chris, Do you guys ever get as extreme to do all the metal on the playfield? Standoffs, posts, etc? Would that just be a nightmare to do?

Yes, and is it for sale? I would seriously consider selling my Tron LE to fund that masterpiece right there.

#9 11 years ago

How did you get an IM with that kind of resignation in the art work? Is that the same one that you went through 3-4 playfields to get?

#10 11 years ago

That's Hookeds whiplash mod. Way to go! Gotta be a compliment there!

#11 11 years ago

Gorgeous work Chris, please post more videos. Sick of checking YouTube daily for hep updates.

#12 11 years ago

Sweetness!

#13 11 years ago

That's perfection!

#14 11 years ago

Sick looking IM. Nice to finally see a IM with a nice clearcoat.

#15 11 years ago

#16 11 years ago

#19 11 years ago

Beautiful as usual Chris!

#20 11 years ago

black trims look great. you sir are the best!

#21 11 years ago

So, who is the lucky owner of this machine? Are they a pinsider? Speak up so that we may make you trade offers.

#22 11 years ago

Not resignation. Registration.

#23 11 years ago

Man, so gorgeous!

Too bad nothing to be done about Stern's crap head pixelated images. Looks out of place sitting next to Chris' awesome work.

Note to Stern: It is not 1989, you should not be able to see individual pixels in a professional product from a yard away.

How is black nickel when it comes to fingerprints? That is the reason I stay away from chrome..

#25 11 years ago

Looks really nice!

I never could get over the pixelation issue on my FGY machine. That was, by far, the worst screen job Stern ever did. IM wasn't much better but it was better than FGY was in that department.

#27 11 years ago

Looks really nice and tasteful. I have seen too many Iron Man's that look like a candy shop with skittles. Only thing I might switch is flipper bats-maybe orange with blue rubber?-Well done sir

Hey Chris,

Here is a chance to educate all on what you do and moreso able to do to the newer machines. What work went into this beauty?

Sorry Chris, but I just am not a fan of the black nickel. Red looks 10 times better as it provides much needed contrast. But since I am a nice guy, I am willing to take it off your hands. How much are we talking?

#38 11 years ago

You guys do realize that this is a pin that Chris did for a *customer*, right? It's not for sale. Pretty sure it's the customer that gets to choose things like the color of the powder coating too. Etc.

#39 11 years ago

Best Iron Man I've seen!!!

#40 11 years ago

Very nice and very unique, great work

#41 11 years ago

I normally don't like when the metal has a custom color or finish, but THIS LOOKS SWEET! Very subtle and classy.

#42 11 years ago

HEP needs to simply stand btwn Stern and Collectors - New Product Line - HEP NIB Stern ____! Now that is money well spent!

#43 11 years ago

Black Nickel just makes pins look... classy, expensive, bad-ass! To each his own but I'm sorry that bright colored powder coat stuff makes pins look cheap... like kids toys, ages 3 and up!

#44 11 years ago

The more I look at it, the more I like it

Here is a video that goes over it a bit .There is actually a whole series of them along the way but this is the newly added final.
I was in a hurry to get the video done prior to moving it out to my main shop so it could be better I know but it covers the finished results pretty well.

I couldn't agree more, Tony. All this candy colored trim being done these days drives me insane. Add all the LED's and it's like people are trying to see how "pretty" they can make their pins.

Black nickle on this Iron Man just looks "rich."

Stellar work!

#48 11 years ago

I made love to these pictures last night. The owner's getting my seconds. Just sayin'.

#49 11 years ago

Fantastic work Chris!

Yep; that machine is pretty much straight up pinball porn.
