Hi Guys,

my thoughts are still circling around the GOTG. Get an offer for a nice used GOTG LE (9.845$).
Also got an offer for a Pro (6486$) without Shaker but with pf-protector and convolux.

Now a friend of offered me his Iron Maiden Pro with Shaker, mirrorblades, painted armor, and pf-protctor for 6720$.

Btw: prices in germany are crazy....

Played the GOTG pro and LE. And must say that the light show is much better on LE.
GOTG Pro was just okand fun,... but after playing Maiden pro, the GOTG pro felt a bit cheap to me.

So now it's Maiden Pro vs. GOTG LE, in mind that this pin should fill the empty spot from Metallica Pro. The new PIN should come with a fast and flowing gameplay which is an addition to my actual lineup ( Houdini, WOZ, LOTR, Dialed In, TWD pro, Ghostbusters LE, BOP 2.0, Monster Bash) and hopefully with this one more game feeling.

Here is my pro and con list of both:

Maiden pro (pro):
- fresh design and layout
- 4 flippers
- Deep rulesheet
- superb sound and callouts
- fast game
- Spinners
- Well use of the shaker

Maiden pro (con):
- no real toys which interact.
- Not shure how long Ball times can be, when I played it it was a bit long...
- Afraid that the music becomes exhausting
- Afraid that the gameplay/shots can be repetitive
________________________________________________________

GOTG LE (pro):
- Toys are really cool
- fast game which fights back (kickback)
- Cleland Sound rom
- easy to understand what to do (I like mode based games)
- Spinners
- RBG Leds

GOTG LE (con):
- Theme is ok
- Plastic ramps
- typical borg layout
- LCD Display animations just ok

Hope you can give me some more input and your opion if you have to choose between this two pins.

Thanks a lot!

I’ve owned both GOTG Pro and Iron Maiden Pro. I still have Iron Maiden...

GOTG is a more fun theme in my opinion but gets boring. Run through 4 modes, start Cherry Bomb, try and make it through the other 4, maybe start Immolation. Gets repetitive.

Iron Maiden has a lot more going for it IMHO. The shots are more fun, the rules are better and less repetitive, but I’m not a fan of the music. Pin is gorgeous because Zombie Yeti.

I suggest saving yourself the cash and grabbing IM IMHO.

Nothing beats Metallica Pro except Metallica Premium. In the absence of that option I vote Maiden Pro. Guardians is no slouch though, and more challenging than Maiden I think.

I’ve owned both and GOTG LE is still here and maiden is gone both great games but maiden’s total lack of toys made it grow tiresome very quickly

I vote iron maiden it has a great deep rule set and it has a great four flipper layout. GOTG LE is a pretty looking game but the Groot arms are very annoying on LE especially for an experienced player. If you really like the GOTG layout I would go with Metallica.

I liked Metallica. But the "crappy" sound was annoying. ACDC sounds much better. Also the WPC-95. That was a bummer for me.
Tried a lot but after about 3,5 years i couldn't stand... So from the gameplay i like both GOTG and IMDN. GOTG looks more colorfull and has RGB Led all over. The Maiden is more a Pin out of Hell and i like the music. And the Theme is timeless...

Maybe I get the chance to play them both next to each other this evening.

Its pretty telling when you're comparing a pro of a game to an LE version and the pro is pummeling the LE in the votes 17 to 4.

Thats why you should have bought a Prem .

I like both games. Maiden is just awesome fun. Better than I imagined. Just hasn’t gotten stale.

GOTG playfield is a mash of MET and IM, but with better rules. I’ve enjoyed it on location, but not like Maiden.

MET is a bashfest and grew tiresome for me. I won’t even listen to Metallica anymore. Wore me down.
