Quoted from Axl:

Wow, the album artwork really went downhill when they decided to stop working with him.
So i guess the artwork would be something like this?
album_iron_maiden_dance_of_death_(resized).jpg

Just like the music did after Brave New World which was last full album I liked and cover.

Quoted from JoeinNJ:

If anyone is up for a new Eddie shirt while we wait on our Maiden pin, go the Derek Riggs Facebook page and order before this Friday..
image_(resized).jpeg

Someone on here owes me one if this game is made, can't remeber but I know he will come forward.

Quoted from rotordave:

A few thoughts ...
Licence: Gary told me they had the Iron Maiden licence nearly two years ago. Gary isn't silly, he travels the world constantly and asks what is popular or not. He knows Iron Maiden will be a hit worldwide. I'm just surprised it took so long to crank up. I guess they just HAD to get WWE out lol
Artwork: Maiden owns all the rights to all their artwork. Even all the Riggs stuff. They bought it outright. So the pin should be able to use any Maiden artwork since 1980.
Personally: I was a big Maiden guy when I got NOTB when I was 13. Those first half dozen albums are just killer, I still listen to them all the time. The new album got good reviews and sold well, and I bought it.. but to me it's a bit boring, but I've moved on musically I guess. In saying that, if a Maiden pin comes out, I'll be looking very closely at buying one. No such thing as a "IM IN INSTA-PURCHASE" for me these days.. But I'll certainly be interested.
rd

Finally another fan who agrees with me on last few albums being boring. I have said this since the last full album I liked which is Brave New World. Considering there playing 6 new songs on current tour out of only a short 15 song set as usual and never a 2 hr or 20 plus song set or two sets with a break means if pin is made Bruce will want a ton of new songs in pin.

Quoted from Maken:

Maiden, more than any other 70s/80s band IMO, has made a lot of great music since 2000. Some of you guys really need to give those albums another chance, with an open mind, and consider the crap that other bands from that era have released during this time period. To complain about these albums is quite silly, we are extremely lucky to have them.

That be like not complaining about our team the Pens who have all the talent over the past few years and continue to flop around with their play on the ice. I am a Maiden fan and hope this gets made but the albums after Brave New World did nothing for me, boring if you ask me.

Quoted from mummite:

Wish maiden was playing the bay area. Tempted to fly down for one of the LA shows. Looks like they are playing the same set-list each night. I like Book Of Souls, but I want them to play more old shit live!

Skip this tour and wait for the next one, makes it easy for me as they are not coming here as usual and been always doing short tours in the states for past few years. On a side note The book album does not move me at all.

Quoted from Mancave:

This is the show specific shirt from the last tour in Oz. Awesome T (everyone wants to whack a kanga with a didg ), average concert and in my opinion not a great album either. I am liking the latest album though, much more reminiscent of their earlier work i feel. Got my tickets and ready to ROCK in May

DSC02165_(resized).JPGDSC02166_(resized).JPGDSC02167_(resized).JPG

Is that ticket price in dollars US currency? If so seems extremely high if in upper lever and not the first few rows. As for the new album it bores me to death. Not impressed with this tour but hope you really enjoy it.

#244 8 years ago
Quoted from Mancave:

Seriously??? Oz dollars of course, and that's a fairly standard price these days for concerts. Considering i saw Pink Floyd in 88' for the princely sum of $38 (OZ dollars )......well.....just a tad of inflation through the years, lol

Got ya, cost us out here in the states for pit seats standing room on,y up front about 135 or 150 bucks after ticket steer fees to my memory on last tour I went to see them.

National beer day, nothing special but not bad either.

Quoted from cosmokramer:

Anybody open for them?
Did they start on time?
How long did it take to complete the set list?

Maiden always know for playing way too may new songs on new tours supporting album and never play more than about 15 songs and only 1 1/2 hrs set. Maybe sometime we will get a 20 song plus set list and over 2hr show before they call it a day alone with the song Infinite Dreams. Too bad we dont get more from such a great live band.

#290 8 years ago
Quoted from AlexSMendes:

OMG.... Are you serious? Now you're gonna bitch about Maiden in this thread also????

Yes because we deserve more from such a great band, sorry but it's the way this fan feels. No different than arguing about wanting more out of Stern or any other manufacturer.

Still wishing for a Maiden pin but really would like a 2 set tour or at least 2hr plus show with 20 plus songs before they call it a day. Maiden is great live but always has a short set list, no excuse they have longer songs as others pick as the only argument. We deserve more.

#342 7 years ago

2017 will or should be the year my guess as well like others have indicated. We already know someone has the license, but in the meantime someone make a one off Motorhead pin please.

Quoted from Lethal_Inc:

Totally agree with the concert mix up. They have so much material to work with and they pick the same newest shit every show and only play for an hour and fifteen minutes. I went to the latest show here in Denver and I was utterly disappointed for the cash I paid. I'll never go and see them live again. Seeing them back in the day and the memories of those shows will just remain at that I suppose. Not a fan of the newer stuff and if they make a pin you can bet that most of the music will be newer stuff. Good thing for pinball browser. Also if they use old Riggs artwork all your gonna see is cut and paste Eddie everywhere. This pin could be great with custom art and great song selection but just don't see it happening.

I agree with you and have been saying this for awhile now, see multiple past posts. Short set list has always. I hope for more and not into anything since Brave New World.

Quoted from Edenecho:

Haha. Anyways, when have you seen them play 1h15m shows? ☺

I remember them doing a 13 song set only for 1hr 30 mins around 2001 or maybe a few years later. I can look up on setlist.com. I have always wanted a 2 hr 20 song set by this band but never happens. I just saw GNR for the 2nd time and both shows 5 years apart had 2 1/2 hours or up to 3hrs five years ago and 25 songs plus.

Here is tour from 2005 with only 10 songs I was at, really this is all we got http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/iron-maiden/2005/cricket-pavilion-phoenix-az-7bd586e8.html

Down vote all you want but the truth hurts. Look they are a great band and I want the pin to be made as have indicated for past posts over and over again, can't blame me for wanting more from a band. Kind of like others wanting more out of pins being made by company's.

Maybe in 2018 or 2019 with this tour as based on video game. Maybe I will get me free shirt from someone in this thread when started long ago. http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/iron-maiden-announces-2018-legacy-of-the-beast-european-tour/

Bruce will want many new songs in the game we all know it and I will not like it but have always wanted this pin to be made regardless. The next tour will be a good one as I posted past interview of possible set of old school tunes from article.

Hallowed be thy Game! It's been a little over 2 years since I made this thread. Tomorrow I guess we shall see if I'm right after all.

I made one five years ago so been waiting longer

Quoted from Frippertron:

Do you guys think any stuff when Paul was singing will be included? I certainly hope so.

Not a chance, Bruce will want 5 songs off last boring album in the game which I will quickly replace with older ones

#632 6 years ago
Quoted from Talon2000:

I liked the last album, last I checked It's Steve's band so I think he would have the final say on which songs are on it.
I would look at my list of songs closely, and the albums they come from.

I could not get into the last album at all. Still a fan and want the game made, etc. but as far as full albums the last one I liked was Brave New Wold.
