Man I wish I had a grand to spend on anouther Shoei. I use their RF-1200 series and would love to upgrade to an X-14, but man that’s pricey after the currency conversion.
Quoted from jardine:Cheers guys..sent an email for the set. Didn't see them last time I was there like a week ago! Not sure why you'd need one behind the drops targets?? Any reason for that at all.
I have the Cliffy set minus the under ramp scoop (I own a Pro). I wondered the same thing about the drop target area protector at first. But after taking the plastic covering the area you can see just how that inside lip could take a bashing when any of the drop targets are down.
Be aware, installation is very tight. The protector winds up being held down by several posts it goes under. There is a tiny hole in the bottom of the protector which I initially thought would be for a small screw to be installed to hold it in place. However it is not, it is way to close to the edge of the wood lip to add even a small screw. The protector ends up fitting perfectly secure.
