Quoted from Guinnesstime:

Happy for now. Need the 3D cyborg next.

[quoted image]

Where did you get the piece of mind eddie? Who makes it? Thx

#490 1 year ago

Is there anyone who knows where to buy a splitter for this plug so I can add another rgb led ? This is the one under the clairvoyant orb on the premium. Or is there anyone that can make a splitter with another rgb led set up?
I want to add another led on top with an orb but leave the original under the plastic.
Thx mike

Thx I got them and made the splitter up just waiting on my rgb led and crystal ball

On a side note does anyone know where to find the clairvoyant plastic without buying the whole set from stern
Thx

Looks good
Where did you get the plastic protectors ? And is there one for the skill shot plastic I’m already getting hits and wear

#503 1 year ago
Quoted from Jarbyjibbo:

Color me jelly, I wanted to get one but it looks like he isn't making any more.

Pm him, he is doing another run in January, I got in.

#508 1 year ago

Yeah those are cool but seem way too bright and white. Maybe a yellow or red led would look good. I like the idea though

#510 1 year ago

Does anyone know of a full set of plastic protectors for the premium/ LE? I really like the yellow stuff I’ve seen but no one has the protectors for the plastic over the stand up skill shot plastic.

#512 1 year ago

Are the original target decals available, I think lit up with the proper colors and the decals they would look great

#514 1 year ago

I even think if the decals aren’t translucent the rest of the target will still light up nicely
I’m ordering a set to try it

#516 1 year ago

I didn’t even look in the goody bag, nice idea

#524 1 year ago

Ok so I got my drop targets but didn’t look under the playfield first. It is a board as opposed to individual leds. Does anyone know how to tie into the game to get the correct leds on the correct targets. I know I can have then colored correctly and lit all the time but I’d prefer on and off with the game if possible.
Any help is appreciated. I am not a wiring schematic guy so I can’t look at the manual and remotely figure it out.

#527 1 year ago

Yes I’d like to add correct leds to light the corresponding targets but have no idea how to go about adding the leds. I don’t want to blow up the game trying to figure it out. I’m sure it’s a matter of adding a type of male/ female adaptor and wiring the correct color leds but I’m at a loss as to how.

Quoted from vireland:

Just a preview of something else I'm working on for Iron Maiden. I want to start by getting that diorama on the left into 3D. Anubis was the hard part, so now I just have to do the columns on the left and right of him and figure out coloring/lighting. It's an encouraging start, though.
[quoted image]

Looks good, will it work on the premium?

#549 1 year ago
Quoted from Skeets:

I'm not much of a mod guy, but the aftermarket orb dome thingie was a little too large for my taste. On the pro, its really hard to see the orb dome lit up when it is flashing from underneath, since there is no newton ball for it to reflect the light. Solution for me, steal the blue dome from the right side of the playfield, bore out the appropriate size hole on the plastic, and flip the dome to the top, just like the dome to the left in the pic. You can do this yourself if you are brave enough to modify the plastic. Just make sure you protect the LED board from underneath since it will be exposed. Meaning you don't want the ball to be able to hit the LED board. I used another clear plastic underneath, but you can use just about anything.[quoted image]

I made this and flipped the led under the plastic and never drilled out the plastic and it works perfectly and I like the look but it’s not too overpowering in the game
I could make some more if people are interested.

#551 1 year ago

I used the existing led and just flipped it so it faces up underneath the plastic and added a washer to keep it level and used the next size up in length screw
Works like a charm
I have a few people interested so I’ll order more stuff to make a few

Finally got around to lighting his eyes too

Quoted from Fytr:

Very cool. Couldn't have been easy working with such a small area. Care to share how you did it?

I drilled from front to back aiming towards his neck area with a tiny bit then kept going up one size until a Pico led fit in from the back. The less are about halfway in as they are too bright at the actual eye ball
Wasn’t as bad as you might think

#556 1 year ago
Quoted from Fytr:

How did you run the wires to the LEDs though?

The leds came with about a 6” lead
I glued them running down his back and leg and added length to it and connected it to the pop bumper light so it works with the two that are not flashers

Quoted from bigduke6:

Awesome job. This could be my favorite upgrade. Where did you pick up the leds?

Thx. I used Evans designs, they are a model train led website but have a ton of great leds. I used Pico warm led 6-12v iirc. I bought cool also to try but they were too white.
Working on my spitfire mod now. Hopefully it will be finished over the weekend. Then I need to find a replacement somewhere in time eddie and give him a little upgrade.

#566 1 year ago

So I finished my spitfire mod and on heating the shrink tubing over the wires I melted my prop. going to order another now ...... so close. Didn’t even get to see it mounted and spinning In the game!

Finally installed my lighted speaker kit and acrylics...

Looks great!
I went with the two light system and I love them!

Quoted from PJKools:

Nice...where did you get the two-light setup?

I got it from speaker lights I had one set that used to be on my Ghostbusters I only needed to buy the second set plus the pieces to make it all up he calls it to yo dog kit

Quoted from jrivelli:

Posted in the other IMDN thread but finished the pop bumper truecolor protectors
ttps://truecolorprotectors.com/products/iron-maiden-truecolor-pop-bumper-plastic-protectors
Of course one of my pop bumper light boards is out atm so only 2 are lit up in the pic
[quoted image]

Looks good I’m in but the link doesn’t seem to work.

#598 1 year ago

So I’m gauging interest in my orb mod. I’m starting a thread but am posting here as well.
I will have two sizes, 3/4” and 1”. Both look good to me so you can have your pick.
I’m including the necessary longer screw and spacers as well.
More details on the thread I’m starting but I’m thinking $30 shipped.

#600 1 year ago

It may indeed work on a pro but I do not have one to test/use. I do just use the existing LED that is under the plastic which normally faces down and I flip it to face up if you look at my iron maiden orb mod thread I have a little more detail and pictures

Quoted from mandelbloom:

I’m happy to be a pro “tester”

It should fit fine. Does the pro just have a white led facing down now? If so that’s what will shine up not the multicolor of the premium/LE but will still look better than the flat plastic.

Quoted from thewool:

P.s. there's another orb mod which uses the existing Premium flasher. Just to bring it to people's attention.

Or the pro

#636 1 year ago

I made a plane mod with the prop that spins but the motor got too hot and overheated and started to melt the plastic so I disconnected it. I did the same and painted extra yellow on the prop and it looked great, but ultimately no one got to see it but me.
Still looks good though.(the pic is when the prop still spun)

Quoted from hoby1:

That’s because you did not put a resistor between the 5 volts. You should only be running those motors at around 3v or less
Mines been great for 6 months

Maybe I’ll rework it if I get motivated enough
Thx

Those look great! Any plans on a premium themed set?

Quoted from Wotto:

Hi all
A mate was telling me of 'someone' overseas( I know I know, not much info to work with ) who makes custom side armour for games - including IMDN.
Anyone know who that might be? ( not the generic Stern Mummy Fist side armour that you can buy at a few places )
Appreciate any direction on this - thanks

Is this what you are looking for

Quoted from vireland:

Nobody...ever? Even the factory? X-MEN, KISS, Metallica, Munsters use alternating colored GI to change the mood lighting of the game really effectively. It can be done well, though I am not a huge fan of the Iron Maiden Premium/LE red GI.

I love when the game goes red in fear of the dark!

Quoted from NeilMcRae:

go looks at the problems thread and see if you are still so keen - the ball mech is piss.

I disagree, I only had problems with mine once , I adjusted it and it has been flawless ever since. I love the way it plays compared to the pro
