the flipper toppers look cool
I finally had time to get this downstairs and setup. Damn these ramps are amazing to hit…this game feels so good to flip. Now to figure out mod.
A while back I made one of my Rocket City Pinball 3D Start Buttons for IMDN. It was an idea that I loved -- the eye of Cyborg Eddie -- so I ran with it. It turned out beautifully and I was proud of the idea coming to life.

Ultimately, though, it was something of a mistake. It was a mistake because it didn't really match the cabinet art on the three versions of the game. I've had several folks -- particularly those who have & love my other buttons but weren't fans of the Cyborg Eddie design -- ask me to re-do it someday.
Well that day has come! I've updated the design and snuck it into my shop the other day but wanted to come post about it. Now with Pharaoh Eddie!

This new Pharaoh design is made with the Premium cabinet in mind -- but it still works on the Pro & LE (at least, better than the Cyborg Eddie did) because he's featured much more prominently in the game itself.
In the photos above, I've printed him with a Sandstone filament, which is a tan color with dark flake in it, giving it a realistic stone-like look. To offer another option, I also have him in copper, to look more like a piece of treasure (and whose color matches the Pro & Premium cabinets very well).

Here are some images showing what the button should look like on the Premium. Note, these are photoshopped, since I haven't gotten the finished design into an owner's hands yet.

There's one thing in the photos above that's NOT photoshopped, though ... did you notice? Did you see that the ugly black dummy tournament button is gone, below the start button? I am now offering replacement dummy buttons for several games (with more on the way) to replace these dumb black ones that Stern installs, which disrupt the flow of the art. For IMDN Premium, my copper dummy button blends right in -- much less distracting! (This color would likely work well on a Pro too, I have one out for testing to confirm.) (Note: Nut color may vary but doesn't matter, since it's inside the cabinet.)
The Pharaoh Eddie start buttons are available in my shop at the following link -- with a special Bundle price available to include the dummy tournament button. https://pinside.com/pinball/market/shops/1282-rocket-city-pinball/09237-3d-start-button-iron-maiden-pharaoh-version

Quoted from MythMaker:We just released our trooper destruction inserts for our advanced speaker light kit for Iron Maiden.
Check them out in our teaser video:
And you can buy them right here on pinside at:

I made a little insert to de-duplicate the Trooper insert that comes with this great kit from MythPinball.
Can be found and printed from here, or you can just break it apart and make your own version. Would love to see another Eddie option, or for someone to help me fill in the gaps on this one!

IM_silhouette (resized).pngI'm not sure if it was ever thought of, but I added a Piece of Mind Eddie from NECA to my playfield. Many of these and the McFarlane toys come with holes in the feet. I see all sorts of zip ties and glue, but a simple suggestion if you have clearance for the mounting area, like under the left side piece of plastic, is to drill a small hole matching size (using the figure atop/marked as a guide to where you want him positioned), and simply use a picture screw eye hook that fits the diameter. Added a pic for reference, you can see the eye hook under Eddie's foot and holding him in place by the pop bumper.
Looks a lot cleaner than a bunch of zip ties or glue that I've seen. I'm late to the party with my IMDN, but man I love this pin. In home honeymoon, but I may actually enjoy playing it more than my GZ. Fun, fast, and punishing. Just thought I'd share an easy/clean solution when adding these figures to the playfield.

I was referencing the means to install. Obviously, all you beautiful people here on Pinside led me to the NECA and McFarlane figures that trump what Stern has to offer! Just didn't dive through the whole thread to see if anyone had come up with a simple solution of a screwed eye hook for attachment.
