Thank you filament printing for making the coin door rejects buttons.
Quoted from MJW:Anyone drill out these rivots when putting a prem or alternate eddy on Pops to replace the plastic one on a Pro? Seems like would be a cleaner look.[quoted image]
Personally, I'd set that aside in a baggie and have Terry at pinball life order the plastic cap from the Prem/LE (that doesn't have the slot or rivets). Shouldn't cost that much and that way you have a situation that is totally reversible.
EDIT: I'd still check with Terry to see if it can be ordered individually, but it may only be available as part of the plastics set for that machine, and it's spendy.

Good idea. I'll investage and report back!
Quoted from Billy16:I've been waiting for someone to make some cooler pop plastic caps...
It's not easy to make them look right, and it's not just the caps, but there's a trim piece in front of the front one that has to be done or it all looks wrong.

Thanks. I was thinking of that but as you know. most of the times you can’t purchase one plastic. I’d be suprised if Terry would offer just that single plastic. I left it alone for now.

curious but doubtful if he sells it.... please let us know.

I've been on and off that project for a while. Same thing for the columns with torches that I worked on and set aside a number of times before finally getting it right (they're in final testing), so probably back to these again to see if I can make them work and look right.

That would be cool, I've never liked the caps.
This looks amazing.

I have 2 sets on stock, if someone are interested.[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Finally picked up an Iron Maiden Pro, and hated the lack of detail on the playfield. I also just so happened to have bought a 3d printer a couple of months ago by telling the wife it was to print out parts for the pins. I finally pulled through with that promise. Here's my first prototype to replace some of the flat plastics, an undead Anubis and torches. Thinking of maybe printing Anubis in black instead of wood and painting it up with enamel.
The last pic is the start of a multi piece Pharaoh replacement, test printing to get the sizing down.

Howdy neighbor and fellow IMDN pro owner! The Pharoah looks slick. Going on the back board exactly where the image is I assume? I have never used a 3d printer before, are you just turning an image into a mold or did you find something 3d available out there. No clue at all how it works.

Howdy! I found files online for the different objects I am using, some free some I paid for. The jist of it is loading the files into a program (slicer) that then creates the code the printer then uses to print it out. The printer starts and the bottom, and prints 10ths of a millimeter layers as it goes up. There are also 3d modeling programs out there if you want to make your own objects, which is what I am trying to learn now.

Sounds like fun making something appear out of nothing lol. Though I need another hobby right now like I need a hole in the head...
Interested to see how your pharaoh comes out!

Done with printing a prototype, having fun with it...but the same, I really don't need another hobby

Wow, creepy looking almost. Should look great! Are you an artist as well? If it's not paint by numbers, I'm at a loss...

It looks awesome! Where do they go in the pin? Are you going to sell these as well?
Quoted from Indypin:It looks awesome! Where do they go in the pin? Are you going to sell these as well?
Trying to fit it over the Pharaoh plastic. I'm not sure the legality of me selling it, as none of the models are mine, I just stick them together. And also, it may just shatter into a million pieces the first time the ball smacks into it haha
Quoted from Rik_:Test installed. Next up is paint.

Looks cool! Could you make them all a little larger so they completely cover the background graphics behind them? Might have to shave off a bit of the two side pieces so the center piece would still fit.

Installed, I actually like the little bit of graphics that show, it adds depth to it. If I print another I will try a print of it larger, though, interested how it would look.

Actually, if the head-dress lines, uh, line-up with the background it would probably look good when front lit. Maybe instead of larger all around just either mount it a little higher or add some more material to the bottom of the center piece so the top covers the background. Might make more room for the beard to clear the target area (hard to tell if it's an issue or not from the pic).
When you print mine I'll just take the center piece since the side one won't work on the LE.

How much for one, $$$$ unpainted....Bam!
Quoted from digitaldocc:Got a premium here and the cheap plastic for the tomb shot was killing me. Found a necklace on eBay and just strategically wrapped the chain. No modification in any way to the game and completely removable. I'm happy enough.
[quoted image]
wow, I like it.
Quoted from Gorgar666:wow, I like it.
Thanks man. I would have posted a link to where people could buy it on eBay but there was only one.
Quoted from Flipper-airbrush:My Airbrush body Kit for Iron Maiden Premium.

going to give this guy full props. we had one of his custom armor kitted Iron Maiden premiums pass thru our shop, and holy crap! in person, unbelievable.
the best armor job i've seen. and i've seen brassed out totans that can blind a cross-eyed goat.
Agreed, I just wish they were easier (cheaper) to get done here in the states with swap out parts. I would definitely have a few games done if it were a little more feasible. I LOVE the Jurassic park treatment with all the caution stuff.
Quoted from DrMark12PA:Just placed my order for a premium and wondering what are the must have mods for the game... so far I'm considering:
1) insert gels
2) underworld scoop illumination
3) obelisk dome cover
4) pharaoh blinder light kit
5) album cover side blades
6) flame torches
7) backboard illumination
8) pharaoh plastic protector
9) shaker
10) I have the Piece of Mind, Killers, and Trooper aftermarket toy figures ready to install
**11) considering the plane but thinking about making my own with possible motorized prop as shown in thread.
**12) looking at the sarcophagus and Anubis figures (Modfather) but was wondering if there any other versions to at least compare
**13) considering the lighted orb mod but was hoping to find a clairvoyant figurine to use with the lighted orb
**14) trying to find the fluorescent yellow lane protectors
add a Stern original Knocker
Quoted from Rik_:Things so far...
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Are the pharaoh eyes hollow for the lit eyes?
Would hate to lose that.
Quoted from Vaital:add a Stern original Knocker
Agreed! And a shaker.
I need to get around to adding a knocker on my Metallica.
Quoted from PJKools:Just a few pics of the 2nd version of the alternate translite in game. Love it...thanks modfather for passing my info on.
[quoted image][quoted image]
Just wanted to say thank you! I found this translite with the blue border on Ebay (not sure if you were the seller here in CO). Just installed it tonight and its amazing.
