Quoted from Lermods:Maybe a cpu issue? Try removing the sd card and reinstalling.
Thanks for the suggestion but I already tried that.
Game plays fine with V0.91.
I was having failures with mine and I realized that I wasn't waiting for the machine to FULLY power down. I would turn it off however you need to wait for every little red LED on the CPU to be off - some take almost a min. After I did that it worked. Just a thought...
In case anyone else has the issue: The solution is a new CPU board from Stern. But this needs to be done thru my distributor. Stern responding under 24hours and so did the distributor. So far very pleased with the customer service.
Old thread but perhaps this will help someone.
Problem Statement: Iron Maiden working fine, followed instructions to update code. After inserting USB memory stick and turning pin on, the pin does not boot, VA and VNB do not light up on the CPU board. Playfield dark, no display.
Remedy:
1) Machine is powered off, USB stick not inserted.
2) Remove SD card.
3) Power machine on - wait a moment (nothing / dark).
4) Re-insert SD card.
5) Power machine on with USB inserted.
6) Update happens as expected.
Summary: the SD card may have not been properly seated or else some other events happened as a result of the above sequence to resolve the failure to update.
