A few animations went off (trooper total, replay animation, etc), then the ball was released and slid back to the playfield. The game then told me to shoot the left ramp to get the tomb treasure....
I had 3x running as well. I think it might be the replay animation, tbh, I've seen that pause mode starts previously.
You can stack multiple tomb treasure's from memory, but collect them individually. So you may have collected a tomb treasure, then it lit for the next one straight away.
