Any way to post pics using an iPad? I am almost never on a PC and would like to add profile and thread pics using it, is this possible?

I've had no luck so hoping to hear some pointers too

The pic needs to be uploaded from a local drive. If you have pics stored locally on the ipad maybe. But if it isnt jailbroken I'm not sure how you would be able too.

Alright, who knows what machine is in my test post?

    #13 12 years ago

I think the pic has to be a jpg

    #14 12 years ago

Does it work from my Acer Iconia Tab A500?

    IMG_20111101_032336.jpgIMG_20111101_032336.jpg

Sure does! In fact, I just task-switched out of the browser at the upload page, snapped the pic, and then switched back and uploaded it. Worked beautifully. Tab is not rooted (sadly - they broke my root with and update, and I havn't gotten it to work again since, which sucks, because the way I play music on it off my music server requires it to be rooted!)

As long as you can upload files from the machine you're browsing with, it will work.

Try downloading image and uploading it? What happens when you try to use one of the choose file buttons?

    #16 12 years ago

It doesn't allow you to click on a "upload file" button.

    #17 12 years ago

My iphone's the same way. The up load tab is there but not clickable. My iphone is jailbroken so when I get home tonight I'll install ifile and see if it works.

There are lots of different browsers for the iPad, most are $1 or free. iCab, Opera, Atomic....

    #19 12 years ago

Does icab, for example, allow you to upload pics to pinside as a pc would?

Also cannot properly quote posts from an iPad / iPhone.

    Quoted from pinbob:

The quote works fine. Using my iPad right now. No go on the pics.

Donjagra, are you on ios 5? Quotin no longer works for me on iPhone or iPad after the upgrade.

    #23 12 years ago

It looks like I am on 4.3.5, guess I should hold off on the upgrade.

Frustrating to not be able to do pics. It is a tablet world now.
