    Quoted from RobT:

Yeah, great idea. Let's make that "Invisiglass" so it isn't!

You cherry picked my words. I stand by my thoughts that I like it. Do you see it when you are playing? Answer is NO.

    #102 12 years ago

But then I've been accused of being a JJP kool aid drinker.......

    "Hey, Iceman!"

    0019p094.jpg0019p094.jpg

I will say Tat's flash pic of TAF's PF was pretty damn clear...
It would be nice to see this in person though, since I just have stock glass on all my machines. A good compromise would be to shrink the logo down to maybe a 1/4-1/2 inch and put it in the top corner instead of the bottom right... Just a thought though.
In a perfect world it would be hidden under the lockbar.

    #103 12 years ago

I dont know but looking at all the pics Tat put upped the IJ with normal glass looked pretty darn good. I think I stick with that & save the $2400 it would cost to put them on all my pins.

    #104 12 years ago

I can see the point of a logo...... proves it is invisiglass.

However, that was the wrong place. As others have said, under the lockbar is the place, if anywhere.

    #105 12 years ago

    Hey,

Jack just posted this on RGP - He listens and I can live with a logo under the lockbar, no problem.

'Next batch comes in 2 weeks. No JJP logo. Wording under lock bar. In
the meantime turn these glasses around with logoup top. If you are not
happy, we will make you happy. That's my word. Post this on Pinside
    too as I don't post there. '

    #106 12 years ago

To put the logo on it cost money then he sells it to you with the added cost so he gets you to pay for his advertising. And makes your game look like crap. No logo anywhere.

    #107 12 years ago

Thanks Pinsiders for discussing, posting pics, comparing products, and suggesting better solutions / options to improve things.
Thanks Jack for listening to customers and trying to provide quality products to the pinball community.
Sounds like both PDI glass and Invisiglass are good products.
If the JJP logo & Invisiglass wording had been made smaller and tucked further in any of the 4 corners it would not have created such an uproar.
I don't want to see that big of a logo everytime I go to launch the next ball.
If logo/wording made smaller, then it doesn't necessarily have to be hidden under lockdown bar.
It is reasonable to have an Invisiglass ID on the glass to help prove it's not a knock-off, and it helps people to quickly identify what type glass it is your looking at.
Customers tend to not like unwelcome surprises. Good surprises are not a problem.

    #108 12 years ago

JJP Logo on a WOZ = Good
JJP Logo on non WOZ = BAD

    That's a deal breaker, period.

I have the cash, want the glass, but not with that logo plastered on all my pins. And NO, I'm not turning it upside-down and reverse.

    #109 12 years ago

Everybody has made good points. I can see every position and understand them all as valid points with no name calling or fights. Very good discussion on this one, Bravo.

    From JJP via RGP:

happy, we will make you happy. That's my word. Post this on Pinside

That's a relief. Good move Jack.

(edit: in my early-morning haze I missed Simonakapw's post on the same ... oh well, regardless - thanks Jack)

    #112 12 years ago

WOW, that logo is really bad.

    Glad JJP has listened!

Looking forward to hearing more peoples opinions on the comparison to PDI. After having a sheet of PDI, I know that NO pics will tell the true comparison. Only real life opinions matter to me.

    #113 12 years ago

Jack has posted on RGP(really grumpy pin-people) that the next batch will have logo under lock down bar.So hold off,I'm sure Terry will make it known when this batch drops.Great job by Jack of listening to his customers and making the move.Scott

Lol. Glad Jack will change the situation. Like the fact that he listens to the pinball community and responds to posts. I may get a sheet yo try out the invisiglass but will wait for the next batch.
    Tom.

    #115 12 years ago

Who knows, this first batch may become collectors items in the same way that misprints on stamps are!

My pin contains the 'Rare Prototype Invisiglass'..........

    #116 12 years ago

Watch, now the first batch of glass will become "rare" and a collector item.

    Quoted from Shapeshifter:

He should think about doing that soon!

I don't see what the big deal is. I personally wouldn't mind the logo it if i wasn't offended by the price. The logo doesn't interfere with gameplay at all and the product is supposedly good. Do you guys take your designer labels off you shirts/jeans/shoes also? Sorry, I just don't see where all the outrage is coming from.

    Look what Jack is doing......wow!

    Good Morning All:
In thinking about the JJP logo, I guess I'm the wrong person to think
about the JJP logo - LOL - however a good number of collectors inside
and outside of our company knew of this and nobody said a peep. I
guess that was the "wrong" 20 people.......
Still, last week I made another order for INVISIGLASS™ and I caught
it soon enough so the next batch will NOT have any logo or printing at
all (maybe it will say IINVISIGLASS™ TEMPERED under the lockbar.
So here is what I'm doing:
Whoever bought glass already - I will send them another sheet of
    INVISIGLASS™ - SHIPPED FOR FREE!
I understand $295.00 plus shipping is a lot of money. So you get a
second piece of INVISIGLASS™ for FREE - NO LOGO -
    THAT IS MY SOLUTION.
You can now take this awesome FREE INVISIGLASS™ and flip it over so
the logo is lost up at the top of the playfield and you bought one
with the JJP logo - you got one without the JJP logo for FREE! - This
is good while supplies of the "JJP Logo INVISIGLASS™" sheets are in
    stock.
Every day is an opportunity to learn. Thanks,
    Best Regards,

    #137 12 years ago

Tatman wow! you rock for posting these. Mine gets here today and I have a major glare issue in the gameroom, I hope my pics will show a huge improvement.

    #138 12 years ago

Wow good move from Jack on fixing this issue!!! Great service...

If my glass had a logo like that, I'd be pissed for sure. What was he thinking??

    #139 12 years ago

    Tatman
Since you have a TFs, LE one of the biggest complaints about it is the reflection of the Transformers Title from the translight on the glass. Can you do a before and after shot of the entire pf with the pin on. I want to see if it gets rid of that reflection.

I like this bit. Jack knows customer service for sure. Recognizing a mistake, admitting to it AND fixing it in one post! That's awesome!

    #141 12 years ago

Tatman, you've got one hell of a collection! Holy..

Interesting. Does this mean that now people are going to make a mad dash to buy up the logoed Invisiglass so they can take advantage of the free glass?

Now THAT is customer service. Well done Jack!

Just seeing how he listens to his customers makes me even more excited for WOZ. It can't get here soon enough!

    #146 12 years ago

I would assume that they will have the logo'd batch sold out almost immediately. 2 sheets (1 with logo and 1 without) for $300 is a steal.

I just placed an order with PBL. I can deal with the logo on 1. I hope PBL uses timestamps of orders cause they will likely be all the way through their original allotment today

Best part is that Jack has built even more confidence with me personally and this may just be the thing that convinces me to order a JJP machine NIB in the future.

    #147 12 years ago

It's a good move, for sure.

However, I suspect it's a "no cost" solution for JJP. $300 per sheet is most certainly at least a double cost markup.

    #148 12 years ago

Wow! Jack listened to the pin community and jumped in with a fix that went beyond expectations. We are dealing with a great businessman and a classy guy. I think his response has enhanced his reputation in the pin community. Well done Jack!
