This is a great forum and I'm delighted in being able to partake. This is my first post here.

A little about me.

The username I chose is from the three comic strips I drew titled "Pinball Fever", which I'm proud of and who knows maybe I'll do some more soon.

First pinball bought was a 1953 Grand Champion for $30 but it kept breaking down and my friend had to have his friend fix it for me. It's gone though.

Second pinball was a Sweet Hearts with only 12,000 plays on it, that was fun until it stopped working and I sold it.

Dann Frank shopped a Paul Bunyan for my third pinball which still plays great, will never give it up. He also taught me how to clean and adjust contacts, and he has the original drawings for the three Pinball Fever comic strips I drew.

I have a non working Jack in the Box that I want to fix, will post about it in the tech section

My interests are Gottlieb electromechanical games and maybe a baseball game.

Btw, I moved several times and in all the packing I can't seem to find my Russ Jensen's Pinball Troubleshooting Guide book. Will have to look through my boxes more carefully.

Electromechanically yours
Bruce

Welcome to Pinside! You should add your general location, so people know how to make fun of you from a regional context!

This place is filled with helpful, thoughtful, amazing people. There is some background noise, as with everywhere on the Internet... But if you're looking for info, help, or suggestions, you can't beat Pinside. Cheers from Canada, Eh?!

Welcome to thunderdome.

Off topic... Two of my colleagues can't come to an agreement on how to execute a jointly owned business process. In a meeting last week I suggested Thunderdome as a solution because I was fed up with the arguing. Neither knew what I was talking about. They are both male. I am female. I told them they fail at life.

And welcome PinballFever!

Welcome on Pinside, the best forum in the world for EM pinballs.

Cheers from France.

Thanks for the welcome everyone!

I'm in the "bi-polar state" Utah, in Salt Lake City area but lived in AZ before for 30 years and will update my location asap.

Bear with me while I read all the posts, there seem to be a LOT of them

Welcome aboard! Yeah, "Paul Bunyan". That's one game I don't think I've ever played, and I've played most everything.

Hello..............

You may also want to visit "Google/rec/games/pinball" which is a smaller sight but has quite a few people who don't visit here.

Nobody here or there cares to rate either sight against the other, just happens to be 2 existing forums for whatever reason. I thought you'd like to know so you could plug-in to both and be involved with the entire family.

Welcome home Bruce !
Just don't go to the basement (Skit B, and Jpop Threads). It's scary down there.
Stick with the great games you have !!
Have fun, and hope you get help on fixing your games. Lots of good experienced people here.

Hey there Bruce welcome. Lots of good pin chat to be had.

Nice to see EM interest. I think so much fun for quick head to head games over a couple cold ones.

Easy to post pics and such on Pinside. Show us the comics!

I was thinking of linking the Pinball Fever cartoons in a post of it's own but CNKay says show the comics so here they are. Enjoy!

Btw are there any pinball related publications that may be interested in publishing pinball cartoons? I may even do a color version of the strip.

Welcome to the insanity. ......Oh and just remember every game is HUO

Here is a helpful link for anyone new to the pinball hobby, or for anyone scratching their head over three letters artfully placed.

No EM game names in the list of game acronyms-it seemingly started with the IT revolution!

Agreed, it was back in the 1970's and I didn't know how "collectible" it was but I place a higher priority on gameplay fun which is why I like the Paul Bunyan.

#46 3 years ago
Quoted from jrpinball:

Welcome aboard! Yeah, "Paul Bunyan". That's one game I don't think I've ever played, and I've played most everything.

I was going through the posts here after having gotten to know some of the EM Pinsiders from reading other threads and saw your comment about the game.

You SHOULD try playing the "Paul Bunyan" game, it's fun challenging game with several objectives to meet and you're constantly keeping the ball in play with THREE pairs of flippers at bottom, mid and top playfield.

I can post photos or a video of the game in play if you'd like?
