I just bought a Tales From The Crypt and the left flipper is giving me some problems. It works occasionally and then stops. Sometimes it will work when I push both buttons at the same time, sometimes it just seems to work. Since it started giving me problems, I've been able to get a few games in here and there without problems and then it tends to stop again.

When it works, the light on the flipper board lights, when it doesn't work, the light doesn't either. A little help would be greatly appreciated.

I've done a switch test and the switch always registers.

I just went into the switch test again. When I hit left flipper button by itself there is no light on the flipper board, no movement by left flipper. When I hit BOTH flipper buttons BOTH flipper coils fire.

I do notice that when I hit the left flipper button by itself, the left flipper coil seems to make a very small click but doesn't fire fully.

It seems that when I re-seat connector cn1 on the flipper board, the left flipper (and led on flipper board) works briefly before failing again.

Alright, I reflowed the solder on the pins. I also checked the fuse clips, they are solid. I also looked at the eos switch and it appears to be making solid contact.

If the left flipper stops working, then I hit both flipper buttons at the same time both flippers activate, but a lot of the time the left flipper will work for a bit after that as well.

Ok, so I just cleaned the eos switch with isopropyl and adjusted the gap. When I compared the gap of the left one to the gap of the right one, the right one had barely any gap when the flipper was fully raised, the left one had a gap that was quite a bit larger. I also used a screwdriver to make sure the wires were all in the connector cn1.

Anyways, I played four straight games with no problems so I hope this problem has been resolved, if not I'll be back. Thanks everyone for the help, it's great to know that there are so many people willing to help out a frightened newbie.
