I am having problems with flippers on GB Premium. It isn't the buttons or connections at the flipper buttons because it also does this on coil tests. Both flippers will sometimes activate and sometimes not. I have checked the wires all the way up and see no issues with any connections at all. Any ideas on this one?

Figured it out. Always winds up being the easy stuff. The person before me had a LED strip installed behind the flippers and the alligator clips (or one of them) was resting on the coil bracket. Whenever the light would go on the flippers stopped working. The rubber that was on the alligator clip had slid down and was shorting out the light and the coil.

Well not so fast. Wasnt that at all. So, I thought maybe it was the node but then started reading articles and talked to tech support at stern. I started disconnecting lights connected at the node and worked my way back to node 8d at the back of the machine. When it was disconnected no issue. Connected...issues. Stern is sending me a new one no charge. I will let everyone know if that worked when it gets here. A lot of people on here replacing front node which may not be needed. More to come.

Well, as it turns out after continued testing that was not the issue either. It is most certainly the front node board. I will have to call Stern again.

The fix for this was replacing Node 8d. Stern sent it to me right away under warranty. Those guys in tech support there are great!
