Just tallying interest in this soon to be Stern pin!

#2 9 years ago

Who's the designer? Who's leading code? If it's Ritchie, I'm interested.

#3 9 years ago

Assuming that it actually would be a pin they make. I would sell a kidney for an L.E. done PROPERLY. No cheap shit on it.

The toys would need to come from Todd Mcfarlane..

Yup. Killer theme
Need to step up innovation to justify a 3rd recent stern though

I love this theme so much if the code sucks I would just re-write it myself. It's my favorite movie of all time and holds a ton of sentimental value to me. So much so that I can repeat every single line in the movie word for word. Kinda sad actually I admit.

This is another toy that would work..

Seriously? JAWS? Great theme.

#7 9 years ago

I added a poll.

#8 9 years ago

Hell yes, saving my $$$ in anticipation!
Dream theme for me.

#9 9 years ago

Heard nothing about it, but it could be an interesting theme. Not sure why they would do a non-current license though.

#10 9 years ago

Tons of sentimental value with this film. My favorite movie of all time and more. 100% in if/when the game is made.

#11 9 years ago

It would be awesome but to tell you the truth, I'd even like a Sharknado pin. Potential to rival the 90s B/W joke pins exists here!

Movie is apparently timeless and hits all demographics despite age and gender. Most pinheads gobbling up Stern titles now grew up with this film. Literally for most of our lives now!

License should be inexpensive and this theme would lend itself well to a pinball design.

Talks will commence if popularity is there, which, it is.

As far as sound work, only Richard Dreyfus is still alive. Maybe we could get some Matt Hooper clips

Roy Scheider passed away a few years back as did Lorraine Gary. Robert Shaw passed away shortly after the movie was finished.

After Wolverine & the Hammer I don't know if I trust them to pull off a big ol' Shark doing something.

#15 9 years ago

Steven Spielberg said no to a remake, but hinted that the original may be re-released with a cgi shark instead of the mechanical...Stern could release a pin at the same time as the film to attract customers ... I would be in for sure if it looked as good as TWD...

UFF. Sure cause ILM retouching classic movies has gone over so so well.

#17 9 years ago

Well we know the attract music and sounds would be BAD ASS!

#18 9 years ago

Would NEED a lcd display...

end of game call-out "can we go home now?"

Even Sharknado was entertaining with lower budget cgi sharks. Imagine what Steven could do with his resources.

That's the plan.

I have screamed about wanting to see this title for awhile....if done right, i'm def in!

They wouldn't. OP should probably change the subject to "theoretical" instead of "upcoming". Very misleading.

Quoted from underlord:

No need to imagine.

"For myself, I tried [changing a film] once and lived to regret it. Not because of fan outrage, but because I was disappointed in myself. I got overly sensitive to [some of the reaction] to E.T., and I thought if technology evolved, [I might go in and change some things]…it was OK for a while, but I realized what I had done was I had robbed people who loved E.T. of their memories of E.T. [...] If I put just one cut of E.T. on Blu-ray and it was the 1982, would anyone object to that? [The crowd yells "NO!" in unison.] OK, so be it."

#24 9 years ago

I hope it's borg. I dont have faith in the other guys.

I wouldn't be surprised if the LE was 9,295.00 msrp

#25 9 years ago

Instabuy for me. Make it happen!

Good.

Jaws2 and Jaws3D were both stinkers.

Trust. Primary ingredient in any relationship.

Seriously? This is pure speculation. No way they'd do Jaws. There are a billion other 80's properties that are way more popular & would sell a ton of machines.

#33 9 years ago

underlord had the info on TWD almost 2 years ago and was correct right down to the exact month...I believe him on Jaws also

First of all Jaws was from the 70's. (75 to be exact). Which of the below films would you think is a better title than jaws and what other 80's theme can you think of that would make a better table? I have a feeling your a pretty in pink kind of guy..

Second it's one of the highest grossing movies of all time.

Highest-grossing films adjusted for inflation[26]
Rank Title Worldwide gross
(2011 $) Year
1 Gone with the Wind $3,301,400,000 1939
2 Avatar $2,782,300,000 2009
3 Star Wars $2,710,800,000 1977
4 Titanic $2,413,800,000T 1997
5 The Sound of Music $2,269,800,000 1965
6 E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial $2,216,800,000 1982
7 The Ten Commandments $2,098,600,000 1956
8 Doctor Zhivago $1,988,600,000 1965
9 Jaws $1,945,100,000 1975
10 Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs $1,746,100,000 1937

Personally, I'd rather see a new Terminator pin based on T5.

#37 9 years ago

This is the only pin I'd ever buy NIB. Ever.

Next time you direct a family guy episode, should say:

Director

Debbie Downer.

Wow are you creative With all the fairly ambiguous 70's/80's/pop culture references in FG, your choice in 80's pins is weak.

I just don't get where that Pretty in Pink dig was coming from. Absolutely unprovoked. If you're trying to imply that I'm a John Hughes fan, then - guilty…but I'm more of a Weird Science/Ferris Bueller/Breakfast Club fan. If you were trying to imply something else for some reason, then eat a bag of shark dicks.

#48 9 years ago

Much like "...Tuesday" I had to google "shark dick". Any more before you two get this awesomesauce thread locked down?

Shark dicks....

Uh....well, uhm. Hmmm. I just...

I got nuthin'.

But it fits in this thread I guess.

#50 9 years ago

I literally thought of the worst possible 80's movie I could think of and used it in a satirical fashion. If you prefer I could have said st. Elmos fire?
