Finally got around to installing my opto trough board in my TFTC.....I had some reflection issues from the top of the trough - which is noted in the manual, but I took a different approach - instead of scuffing up the shine on the metal or putting black tape down - I decided it was better to simply gun-blue the metal. Turned out very well - worked perfectly. In fact, I would recommend doing it straight out - it needs to be done any way. It was fairly straightforward to do - the longest time is spent running power from the head to the trough (if you so choose to do). As recommended I tapped power at the Sound Board - but I simply replaced the IDC connector with an Trifurcon Molex and ran a simple tap for 12V while making up the connector.....I also reused the clear trough protector by making up 2, 15mm standoffs and putting it back on....
