Same here! About an hour and 45 minutes start to finish with clean up and narrating the work to a 3.5 year old. Works amazing and no adjustments needed! No more balls getting hung up on switches (which even happened as I was clearing the trough for the install) or switches not registering. Played a few games and ran a few tests and this thing is smooth. Thanks again!
20200418_112234 (resized).jpg20200418_114517 (resized).jpgMine arrived today, fantastic! Finally got rod of this old problem on my Tales from the Crypt! It's annoyed me for years!
Only problem I have is that I can't get the door closed without removing the coin mech and it's bracket. Not a big deal, but the PCB fouls on the top of the bracket.
Thanks for a brilliant upgrade for my machine.
Cheers
Cris
I finally made some time yesterday to install this beautiful piece of work, all I can say is wow!
LAH runs better than he ever has before, no more balls stuck in the trough!
Thank you Davi you rock!

Thank you, good to hear
Finally got around to installing my opto trough board in my TFTC.....I had some reflection issues from the top of the trough - which is noted in the manual, but I took a different approach - instead of scuffing up the shine on the metal or putting black tape down - I decided it was better to simply gun-blue the metal. Turned out very well - worked perfectly. In fact, I would recommend doing it straight out - it needs to be done any way. It was fairly straightforward to do - the longest time is spent running power from the head to the trough (if you so choose to do). As recommended I tapped power at the Sound Board - but I simply replaced the IDC connector with an Trifurcon Molex and ran a simple tap for 12V while making up the connector.....I also reused the clear trough protector by making up 2, 15mm standoffs and putting it back on.... Thanks Davi

Mine arrived today, thank you Davi
Hello Everyone,
I'm checking to see if there is enough interest to run another Data East opto board batch for 2021.
Price is $115 shipped. Leadtime is depends of quantity, about 2-3 months.

Well worth it!
Put me down for one. Will let you know if I will ship to US or Canada once you get ready to ship. I assume it doesn't matter what game it is for (Tommy or GnR)? Thanks.
Quoted from Gunner:Davi,
Any plan to do more Data East ball trough opto boards?
Randy
Quoted from Milltown:I as well would like to purchase 1..
Quoted from Jrotten:Yes, I'm in. Put me on the list.

Quoted from Pinballocd:With harness? Please explain??
The board needs 12V DC input.
Depends of your existing installation, we have 4 methods:
A: if the package contains power harness, and you don’t have power supply. Applicable for Factory
sound board and PinSound.
B: if the package contains power harness, and you don’t have power supply, but you use Power Booster
harness by PinSound. Applicable only for PinSound.
C : you have 12V power supply. Wire the GND and 12V DC to the opto board.
D: you don’t have power supply, you did not order power harness: you have to hook GND and 12V DC
from the backbox on your own.
For A and B, I can offer plug&play harness (need to solder one end to opto board).
In case of C and D, you have to provide power source.
Very happy with my opto board I bought from Davi -fixed my ball trough issue - would definitely recommend!!

Ok so I have a pinsound board and pinsound shaker. So are you saying I can plug into the pinsound power tap plug? I believe they have a extra plug coming of of it. Is this correct?
Thanks!
Quoted from ThatOneDude:Any chance that these fit Sega games like Baywatch?
I would say the chance is there. The ball trough of SEGA pin looks similar to late DE games.
I will investigate on a real pinball.

Yes, you can put my harness to the sound board, then connect the original connector to the harness. Very easy.
Quoted from classicgamefan:If it’s not too late, I’d like two with harnesses.
Thanks!
It's not too late, I have few free slots. You are on the list.
Quoted from Pin_Jim:Hi - Count me in for one with a harness. Thank you!
Quoted from metal-mods:Count me in as well, plus a harness
You are on the list - thanks.
Quoted from Jrotten:I’m on list with harness correct? Thanks
Yes, you are also on the list.
Quoted from Willathrilla:I'd like one with harness for my JP, if it's not too late.
Thanks
It's not too late, you are on the list.
Only 1 slot left.
Quoted from thrillhousejames:I'll take that last slot, with power harness please!
Thanks, noted.
From now, the list is closed, I can register new requests to standby list.
