I'm installing t-nuts on my new TAF playfield and wanted to double check the process before I actually do anything to the playfield. I saw a post way back either in Vid's incredibly helpful ultimate playfield restoration guide or Bryan Kelly's magnificent IJ restoration, but I can't find it now... if I remember correctly, you should drive the posts through the front of the playfield and then get the t-nuts through the post and onto the playfield? Sorry for the crudeness, I'm a newbie willing to learn (first PF swap, going good so far).

Oh, that's very interesting. So basically you bolted the t-nuts in by screwing in the bolt? I was going to go for the hammer method, but I might actually try this instead.

Thanks for all the help, fellas! I'll assemble that contraption then, don't want to risk damaging the playfield.

I can't get my hands on a bolt that long enough for the "felt method", so I'm gonna have to try the star post method. Should I use an improvised wooden washer with some material so that the wood doesn't mess around with the clear coat?

Also I noticed that there are two t-nuts that don't have sinkholes routed near the center of the back of the playfield. I saw them on my old PF, are they meant to be there? Just making sure cause the TAF I got has really been to hell and back, so I'm verifying everything as I go.

Thanks everyone for the helpful comments! I'll get going with the hybrid hammer and felt method. I feel highly encouraged by the comments, although not to the point where I'll whack my playfield with a hammer
