I am following the instructions from Stern on how to install the motor. It has all gone smooth except for the stage we are at now….'Installing the ground tap harness'. Specifically I am having trouble unplugging the J16 connector on the I/O board. It is really tough to unplug, and I am concerned about damaging something if I apply too much force removing the J16. Should it be that tough, or is there a secret to removing it?

Thanks pinmaniac. We were able to finally get it out…..just had to use more force. I was worried about wrecking something. Bottom line is the new shaker motor is up and running. Had to adjust the tilt mechanism as the shaker kept setting it off….it is set up so close to the bobber.
