Just sharing my experience with installing a Playfield Protector on GB premium. Game is New, never even powered up yet. Bought protector from Mirco in Germany.
I was surprised at how much had to be removed from the playfield. Pics below. I did have one issue. The protector was made without the scoops cut for the cliffy protectors that Stern installed at factory. Mirco told me to just let clear protector lay over the 2 metal scoop protectors. I didn't like that idea, so I measured and cut out for them. Pics below.
Any suggestions of adjustments or add ons that should be done before I put playfield back together? Thanks

Cutting out for 2 metal scoop protectors.

I had removed metal protectors to see if clear protector would fit underneath, but it wouldn't allow metal protector to fit correctly.
I suggested to Mirco that he should have these scoop areas cut out already. Most people do not want to spend $ on a protector they have to take scissors to and hope it cuts clean. Mirco did not respond.

The protectors had some dust that had to be vacuumed off. I vacuumed the playfield protector as well.

Trimmed protector to both scoops (finish). Still need to finish up reminder of re-installation. Any adjustments I need to perform while game is still open??

I noticed Slimer has sharp metal protruding out underneath. Are they all like this? Does Slimer ever touch playfield? Do I need to address this metal?

Now that Mirco was informed about protectors installed by factory, he should make/sell protector accordingly.

Up late trying to get done.

I purchased plastic protector set with playfield protector. The protectors are not larger than the plastics they are protecting. So if a ball hits, I doubt they will help much.

Note how the sling protectors were made, multiple little pieces instead of one. I still had to use two 7/8" round protectors because Mirco protectors do not impress me as offering any defense from hits.
