Cant remember if the light was hooked up to the slot machine light, or always on? Hmmm....but the slot machine lamp gets hooked into molex underneath right? So what kind fo connection doews this thing have on the other end JK2171?

This is diff'rent then mine. How many lights does it have on it? I'll explain mine, maybe it will help.
Mine uses the alligator clips to clamp directly onto any GI lamp bayonet. This lights up the reels at all times. (hook up anywhere to test...it wont hurt anything)
The molex connection there is to go between the already exsiting molex that runs up to the slot machine light...so the LEd on it lights up when the slot machine light is on. (the molex in question will most likely also be the only one in that area that fits the molex and weasy to detect so no worries there)
Mine also has a blue light on top that runs to the Super Slot lamp board...it would appear that yours does not have it.
