Can I play without the capacitor kit. For some reason the capacitor blew up on power up. Called distributor for replacement. Is there such a thing as a bad capacitor?
Quoted from SKWilson:Ouch. Did you connect the capacitor in the correct direction?
The service bulletin says the cap kit is to prevent mysterious slam tilt switch activation. You should be able to play the game without it, but if the game registers a slam tilt, you'll know why.
Yup everything was connect per instructions. I powered down immediately after the nuclear cloud. Checked everything and my only guess is capacitor failure.
I mean worst comes to worst I have to buy a new capacitor
