Ouch. Did you connect the capacitor in the correct direction? I don't know if there is more than one way to connect it. Unfortunately, I know extremely little about these things.
The service bulletin says the cap kit is to prevent mysterious slam tilt switch activation. You should be able to play the game without it, but if the game registers a slam tilt, you'll know why.
