I get why people like the idea of head to head pinball over the internet, but seems there could be to many differing physical variables from machine to machine to make it even remotely fair and balanced.

Agreed for casual play not a big deal. Just feel pinball is more of a play the same machine with friends kind of thing. At the end of the day you’re just comparing high scores.
