How did you remove and replace flanged metal rod at the top?
Very carefully.....
Deform the flare on one side and pull it out. The replacement procedure sucks - also be sure to pay very close attention to the spring orientation on the rod.
After doing one target face swap I sniped all of the nos assemblies which listed on eBay for the next two months.
As bigd states, unless you want to keep swapping the f'n target faces - change your led boards to the glm aftermarket ones - I haven't snapped a target since doing this and have several hundred games in since the changeout.
