Quoted from Gryszzz:

That time o week again. Any tips on SW, ACDC, DP or GOTG?

SW. play as leia and just shoot lots of inner loops (both sides), and ramps. Select ball save for your skill shots if available. If not, select 5 tie fighters.

ACDC - you’re joking right? Haha

DP - shoot scoop to start a mode. Any one will do. Then shoot the little Deadpool drops and hit the ball behind them to combine LP multiball with a mode. It will help you complete it. If you do well in a mode, the scoop will start flashing. Hit that to finish the mode and collect a bonus. These can be big.

Guardians. Start with quills quest as a mode. Shoot the lit shots. When that’s over shoot groot 6 times for MB. Then shoot the orb drop target and shot behind 3 times each to start that MB. Shoot scoop when lit to change modes. Rinse and repeat.

I only know how to play hollywood heat. Let me know when they get a real machine.

DP is fun. SW is too. GaG not so much.

GOTG is great. Same layout as Metallica, better theme.

but hackneyed gameplay. metallica has probably the best rules stern has put out (B66 and IMDN have great rule sets too)

Is you pin in Indianapolis, if so you’re in the right place. Been to Indianapolis to play pins or want to? If so then you’re in the right place. Anything pinball related to Indianapolis? Then you’re in the right place.

Fun pin you have there!

seems like an inconvenient place for cup holders... looks easy to spill and taking the space my feet usually go... have you gotten any complaints?

No, Centerpoint is still open. If I were to guess, Bud means that he is no longer operating pins there.

Hi Bud
How much a game are your pins set up for?Visiting my son near Fountain Square we want to come by and drop a few coins

#323 4 years ago

If there were ever a change I would suggest at Tappers, it would be giving a little more space between games, if at all possible. The games are tight. Otherwise, the place and the games are great.

Only way that will happen is to remove some pins or do another building expansion. Sorry there isn’t more room, we are just happy to have some good locations to play in Indy now

Anywhere from .50 cents to $1.00. There is a changer there and some pins have bill acceptors on them.

That was a good location when you were starting out, and they have some nice beers, but I think Tappers and 16-Bit are better locations overall (especially for those of us who are visiting from out of town).

Glad your pinball empire continues to grow!

Nice! If you ever decide to sell the POTC, I'd be interested.

Heads up that we are having a one-day arcade tournament on Saturday at Rupert's in Shelbyville. It's all for charity, and the winner of the tournament gets a free Pac-Man cabaret arcade machines.

It's not just pinball in the tournaments, there are console games, arcade classics, even our dance machine! Should be a ton of fun!

The Sinking Ship (bar) located at 4923 N College Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46205 has the following pinball machines:
* Transformers (LE)
* Family Guy
* AC/DC Lucy Edition
* Batman (The Dark Knight)
* Deadpool (Pro)
* Black Knight Sword of Rage (Pro)
* Black Rose
* Stranger Things (Pro)

I enjoy their food so it's been a nice location to visit and play.

Still have tix for sale, all for a good cause. Linked Fastbreaks, TNA, Metallica, TOM, lots of other machines coming. They're renaming a beer for the event as well! It's also family friendly which is sorely lacking in Indy. Below is the link for tix.

Well, we crushed it with the Dementia Friends pinball event. Huge shout out to the PinVault dudes, the dudes that have the machines at Mind over Mash and all the others who were willing to put up their machines for the weekend. We raised 20x what CICOA (parent company of Dementia Friends Indiana) expected us to and had great attendance and a solid jump start for next year. Media-wise, we were on the cover of the IndyStar and on about every TV station I can think of. We plan on this being an annual event and hope to get it to the size of LAX and other events. It may not be that big next year, but we're going to work hard to get there. It's far past due that Indianapolis have a large expo like that but why not? And why not do it for a good cause? Not only does it promote pinball in the community, but all proceeds go to Dementia Friends Indiana.

PRELIMINARY PLANS FOR NEXT YEAR:

-Bigger location. Space was tight where we were at due to # of machines and popularity. I think we could easily double the number of machines and double the ticket sales now that we're a known thing and have media contacts.

-Tournament with prizes. We're gonna work on getting sponsorship for some solid prizes.

-Three day event.

WHAT I NEED FROM INDIANAPOLIS PINHEADS:

-Your pins! If you have machines you're willing to bring next year, PM me now and let me know so I can start my list. I already have a few new people from the HACKS group that have chimed in and are bringing machines. No sweat if things change later on, I'll reach out more towards go time next year and see where you're at, it would just be nice to get some preliminary numbers for when we reach out to sponsors.

-Spread the hype! We need the pinball community to continue to come together to make this happen. Let your friends in surrounding areas know that we're building up something big. It's gonna be dope.

Again thanks to all that brought their machines and to those came out to Books & Brews to hang over the weekend. Feel free to PM me suggestions for improvement if you have any so we can continue to improve on what we've already done. Let's do this.
