From these pictures, what do you make from this Indiana Jones?

I do not have outside picture but I know one side at least is faded and has the usual ding and scratches.

I see some wear where the ball lands from the wire forms which seems to be slightly rusted as well. I see clear lifting and ghosting over green inserts. I see drop-down targets decal pretty messed up. I see a broken sling plastic.

What else? What should I look for in Indiana Jones? It this condition average for this title, above or below? Thanks!

Nice! So I just bought one, and it may be a good basis for pricing. It was and HUO in a climate controlled storage for 23 years, needless to say its in amazing shape.

Only thing it needs is some playfield cleaning, a few switches, a few coil sleeves here and there and some bulbs. My machine has zero ghosting, all inserts are flawless, ZERO fade on cabinet, playfield has very little wear if any and the shooter lane looks like it was never used. Backbox has some minor scratches. Inside the cabinet is flawless no dust, no rust, no carbon deposits, and all original documentation and manuals came with it... the good bag is still stapled how amazing is that.

So the price, i think i got a steal at 8K. maybe that will help a little

Pretty darn nice. I'm wondering how common is insert wear on IJ. My TZ has pretty much the same issue but worst. I got it for cheap though.

Plumonium thats a good question, I do know that Indy happens to have the some of the most complex inserts of any pinball machine ever, as they are multicolored and super detailed. Also this game was not originally a clear coated game, rather it had a lacquer coating, so wearing through that happens rather quick then exposing the inserts to damage.

Im no expert but that is the impression I have gotten

Indy was always a clearcoated game, it was well into that period.

Every single game from gilligans on was clearcoated. Now some don't have the diamone plate logo, but they still got the clear.

What do you guys make of the insert wear?

IJ is such a great game! I've owned one for about 20 years. Unfortunately, 1 side of my cab has slight fade.

It's hard to give you a better idea of value, without seeing all sides of the cab & head. The insert wear & ghosting on green inserts, would take some work to look better. A clear coat would look amazing but cost time & $$$.

I would think from what I see so far... $4500-$5000

Hope that helps.
