Hi All,
I've been working on this for a while now and finally have it worked out. The Ark topper is something that I felt was a natural fit for Indy. I'm planning to install a light strip on the inner edge which I think would look awesome illuminating the angels from below.
Would love to hear comments. I'm hoping to offer this for sale in a small batch run, but just want to figure out the lights and a cost that will cover the time these take (and have taken to get to this point).

Sure... you can sign up for Pinside for free; but, we all know the real cost for visiting this site.

Looks fantastic. If you are planning on tapping into power already, it may work out well to add some interaction with some flashers. 12 volt strip lights would work well. It could work like AF’s cloud topper.

Definitely interested. Add me to the list as well.

I wonder if this could be chrome plated in gold/brass?

IMO it’s too big.

Hi everyone,
just wanted to thank you all for the overwhelming positive comments. I really appreciate it!
There's pretty high interest in this, which is great. I'm stocking up on material to make sure I have a clear run at a first batch. I'm going to post some pictures soon to show some more details (just so people know fully what to expect...for example the back is open to allow access to feed the led wires through to the pin etc...). I'll also post a price with those pictures, and will respond to the PM's.
Thanks again, and stay safe.

Looks like a perfect match for this title. Please add me to the interested list, thanks!

Wow, are you still making these sir? I'd love to get one!! Joe

#31 1 year ago

Thanks guys. I’m still working on it - but each one would take so many weeks to make at the moment I would have to charge more than I wanted to. I’m trying to work out an alternative version that would be cheaper. Maybe I’ll offer a pro, premium and LE
Rest assured I’m still on it, and will get back to ‘each and every one of you...in turn’.

A small update on this (as I know other arks are out there I've been working on a reliable production method, and accidentally stumbled across a better material finish in the process. You can see in this picture the same material but different print method giving a WAY better shine and more depth to the metallic effect. I'm really pleased with how this is coming out.
I've also been talking to some of the guys on the forums about light integration and should be able to integrated lighting effects tying into the modes with a bit of luck.
I hope to have more updates coming soon.
