I am a big fan of Indiana Jones and I have always wanted to get a Stern Indy to modify. I picked this game up yesterday and Sundays are my build for yourself days, so this is how far I got today.
I am converting the 2 orbit shots to ramp shots. I am replacing the main ramp with a metal one next. The center of the main body is a 3 beam design that will carry balls left or right to the slings. I will be adding a altering mechanism that will alternate the ball travel left or right on the rails. Think of the main wireform body as the mining cart tracks. I will add a cosmetic switching handle and I will be adding mine carts. I will also move orbit switches to rails.
I might be the odd duck, but I really enjoy the game. I like making crazy rails for my games and this might turn out to be the best ones yet. (Hoping). These will not be a mod for sale, but I figure I have a few people that enjoy my lunacy so I will post updates as it goes. I did not nake the right ramp yet, but you should see what I am trying to do..

That's pretty cool!

Looks like the one ramp feeds into the ark as well?

I heard originally there was suppose to be a mine cart ramp (not sure if it replaced the skull ramp); it was eliminated last minute.

The ark gets loaded by that wireform from shooter lane. The game preloads 4 balls into it prior to game starting up. I will be adding pieces to minic the mine cart rails in Temple of doom.

I figure I need to do this right, so I am killing a $120 sheet of stainless. Sundays will be spent with uncle Indy.

I am working out a electo magnet whip over a hole mod too. Shooter lane will have a cut out drop. The ball will jump hit the magnet and swing over and kill the power should drop the ball on the other side. Excited to figure that out.

Main ramps 80% there. Optos, brackets and switches next.

Very quick test video using cardboard and tape for playfield to ramp transitions. The main ramp is stupid fast!!

Brackets and opto mounts done. Getting there slowly. I will try and mimic the temple of doom mine shaft supports to look like its part of the mining..

Not a fan of the movie, but the skull looks great. I need to order 4 gate switches to replace the orbit ones and I got alot done today.

Ordered gate switches, but after the left wireform and launch its done. The shooter lane can go full way around to wireform or a lesser shot will be returned to the new smaller right ramp. A wireform jump should work. I will find out soon. Burnt out over other work and these creative days are needed.

Removed and replaced the swordsman with a action figure. I did not like the look of the wall. Flasher is behind figure and fits. Changed title so other owners might see the action figure mod.

I still need to add switches and track altering mech to center rails. The combo ramp shots are fun..

Finally had some freetime to make the shooter lane wireform.. I will make switching mine carts for the double rail next. and I need to add gate switches that are from the orbits.

I modeled the new ramps to look like the temple of doom mines. Great day today!

When you let a few months go by and order two gate switches and go to install them realizing you need 4 kinda stinks. There are 4 orbit switches under the new metal ramps. The right side is installed and working. I just dont know the rules enough to know if I am losing a shot/rule as the ramp and wireform will not read 4 switch hits as a result of the mod? As it is now it will only read 2. If you know the game please feel free to post or pm me.
I also reworked the launch wireform and blocking arm. Shoots alot better!
